You didn't end up getting much sleep that night; you couldn't stop thinking about that note that the skeleton, "G", had left you.

Before you knew it, you heard the door to the bar open. Footsteps could be heard, and they were headed toward the storage room you were sleeping in. You heard a knock. "Good morning, Nova. It's me. Can I come in?" It was Grillby's voice.

"Sure..." You replied while yawning. The door creaked open and the light turned on, blinding you for a moment. You were laying on the ground, resting your head on your backpack.

Grillby paused for a moment. You realized you weren't wearing your rabbit mask, and that he had never actually seen your real face, even though he knew you were human. He cleared his throat. "Ahem. Well. It's 10 o' clock and the bar opens at 11. Get... um... get yourself ready." He turned and left, shutting the door behind him.

You wondered for a moment why he had acted that way, but shrugged it off. You pulled your now-messy blue wig out of your backpack and brushed it down with your fingers, before putting it on as well as your mask.

After repainting yourself with the purple body paint you had been using, you were ready. It was almost 11, and you could see people begin to arrive. How do these monsters have so much free time, do they not have jobs?

It didn't matter. You stood at the counter while you watched Grillby unlock the doors and let customers in.

The day was going smoothly. At around 2:30 P.M., you noticed a familiar cat monster enter the bar and head toward the counter. You pulled out your whiteboard and marker. "Hi, Neptune!" You wrote.

He sat down on a seat in front of you. "Hello, Nova! I hope yesterday went well for you after I left," he smiled. "Yeah, it was great!"  You lied. You felt bad about lying to Neptune so much, but you didn't want to worry him. After all, even though you two had just met, it seemed like he genuinely cared about your well-being.

"That's good to hear," he replied. He ordered food and you wrote down his request before sending it back to Grillby. "So, remember how I said I'd give you my old phone?" He asked out of the blue. Oh yeah! You had completely forgotten about that. "Well, ta-da!" He took out a light gray flip-phone and handed it to you.

"Wow... Thank you so much!!" You wrote on the whiteboard excitedly while examining the phone. It wasn't anything fancy, but you were very grateful nonetheless. "Now, I know you can't talk, so you probably won't be calling people often. But there's a texting feature, so don't worry!"

You pressed the power button and the phone turned on. The screensaver was a selfie of him and another cat monster who resembled him. Maybe his sister. You proceeded to turn it off. "By the way, I already saved myself as a contact so there's no need to worry about that." He said with a grin. You nodded.

It wasn't long before the food came and Neptune left the bar. You continued serving customers just like normal. 6 o' clock rolled around, and there was no sign of the skeleton. Then 7. Then 8. Nothing.

At almost 9 P.M., the door opened and the bar went silent, just like it had the day before. The familiar figure entered, and went to sit at the counter in front of you in the same seat that Neptune had. The monsters in the room began talking again, just not as loudly as they previously were.

"Why are you still here? I thought my note would've scared you off." He said suddenly. You pulled out your whiteboard and wrote. "I have nothing to be afraid of."

The skeleton, G, let out a 'hmph,' before smiling eerily. "You have me to be afraid of."

Shaking your head, you erased your board and wrote again. "Whatever. Order something or leave." You showed him the board and he chuckled darkly. He ordered the same meal he had before and you sent his request to Grillby.

You and G were having a silent staredown as you waited for the food to get here so he could leave.

The food finally arrived, and G left the bar holding it.

Your shift went smoothly after that.

After Grillby gave you your paycheck and left, you went to the storage room to sleep. However, the bag that you had been using as a pillow was missing. As well as that, the phone you were keeping in your pocket was also missing.

You looked around the room and all you found was a note on the floor. It was the same type of paper as the one G had left you yesterday. Picking it up, you read it.

"They're outside."
