"You two are getting a new partner to work with."  Jeffery, also known as Captain Fowler, said to me and my partner Hank Anderson.

"Well who the fuck is it?" Hank questioned captain Fowler, he was usually bothered by having to get to know someone new. Hank wasn't a bad guy but he could seem a bit cold to those who haven't known him that long.

Speaking of knowing him I've only been his partner for about five months. He hated me at first, said he was fine flying solo but Captain Fowler told him he either cut the crap or turn his badge in.

In all honesty I could care less of who it was or why Fowler thought me and Hank needed an extra partner. We were homicide. Working with the dead isn't exactly what most girls would wanna do but I don't complain. I need the money to help pay rent.

"Jesus Christ Hank, get over it, Y/N doesn't seem to have a problem with working along side an android" Fowler wasn't to happy about Hank always stepping out of line.

"Wait, I'm sorry but,you said android right?"

"Yes I did and if you two can't play nice with it then you're off homicide and back on patrol" Jeffery wasn't taking any of Hanks B.S. today.

"Yes but, haven't androids already been helping out in investigations why are we being assigned a specific one?" It was only natural to be curious now. It wasn't heard of an android playing am active role in an investigation.

"Well if you were listening kid you'd know that we were put on the deviant  case and captain 'stick up his ass' here decided to go ahead and let cyberlife send us a prototype android. It's supposed to be able to do more than just your regular tin can. Hank scoffed just thinking about taking an android with us to the crime scenes but, since I saw no way out of it, I just nodded my head in Fowler's direction told him understood and went back to my desk.

"What the fuck was that!? You didn't even try to back me up Y/N."

"We weren't going to get out of it so there was no point in arguing" Looking up at Hank I shrugged and got back to work on the deviant cases.

It was now around ten, I still have another half hour until I can go home. Sighing in defeat, I leaned back in my chair glaring at the clock on my terminal to move faster. Here's the thing I hate being in giant ass buildings alone, never liked it and probably never will. Hank went home about an hour or so, knowing him he actually didn't go home but to Jimmy's Bar. Looking back down at the clock it was now ten twenty five. Leaving early shouldn't harm anything right.  I went to get into my car but was stopped by a call from Ben.

"Hey Y/N/ sorry to bother you so late but there's been a murder. You don't have to worry about Hank your guys' new partner went to find him so you can just head on over here."

" Oh yeah, sure don't worry about it Ben. It's part of our job so no need to apologize to me, I'll see you in a little bit."

I got to the scene before Hank and our new android partner. I'm going to take a guess and say they'll be here in a good hour. Getting out and walking over to Ben he told me how the body was discovered.

" We got the call around eight, the landlord said the tenet hadn't paid rent for a few months, so he thought he'd drop by, see what was going one, that's when he found the body." Jesus the smell in the house was terrible. The body had to have been here for a good couple of weeks.

"Open a fucking window, that smell could kill someone alone. Have they found out if it was an android or not?"

"No not yet were still waiting to figure that out, I'll head back outside and wait for Hank to get here to explain it to him." Ben was already out the door and gone by the last word of his sentence. I could tell Hank was here already, he played his heavy metal loud enough anybody could here it if they tried.

"Evening Hank, we began to think you weren't going to show"

"That was the plan until this asshole found me. Oh, Hey Y/N, you find anything out yet?" I had popped my head out the front door to see Hank walk up with an android.

"No I just arrived not to long ago myself. By the way, who is that?" I pointed towards the android he had slicked back hair all tamed into place except a rebel in front falling to the side, his eyes looked black but were actually a nice brown color. It was a fairly attractive for an android.

"My name is Connor. I'm the android sent by Cyberlife." Connor huh, wonder who gave him that name. It's not a name you hear to often anymore.

"Well Connor welcome to the team. Now you two can get your asses in here and help" I smiled sweetly at them and then walked back in to go check the kitchen. There was a knife missing from the knife holder on the wall. There was also a bat on the ground next to a knocked over chair with some blood on it. Turning around I see Hank holding a package of red ice and Connor examining the body.

"Seems like our friend liked to party."

"The victim was stabbed 28 times in the chest." I looked over at Connor in shock, I completely forgot he was meant to actually help us. Oops.

"I guess he really had it in for him." Hank looked over at me, of course I got his joke but now is not the time for jokes.

"Hank your jokes suck." I shook my head a chuckled slightly. That's when I noticed Connor put some of the blood on the knife into his mouth.

"Ah Jesus, what the hell are you doing?" Hank and I said at the same time, I held up my hand for a high five but he left me hanging. Wow thanks Hank.

"I'm analyzing the blood, I can check samples in real time, I'm sorry I should have warned you" God damn for an android he his quite advanced.

"Ok...Just don't put anymore evidence in your mouth." He nodded and went about his business. Figuring out what happened.

"Fucking hell, I cant believe this shit." Hank said walking away outside along with Connor who checked the soil saying the suspect didn't get out that way. Connor eventually found it in the attic and we took it back to the station to interrogate it in the morning after everyone had had a good nights sleep.
