Avery Tate's P.O.V

'Ugh my heads hurts' I thought as I woke up. I kept my eyes closed to try and contain the pounding in my head.

I rolled over expecting the cozy feel of my bed but instead I hit something cold like a wall. My eyes shot open to meet a grey colored wall. I was confused as why I was here.

Sitting up I looked around to realize I was in a cell. There were bars in front of me and a small window behind me. Other than that it was completely empty and pretty dark.

Standing up I had to close my eyes because I felt like my head was about to explode. Panicking I went to the cell bars, but before I reached it I tripped over something. Looking down it wasn't something it was someone, better yet it was Cameron.

Then everything from last night flooded my brain. We went to a club, danced, drank, and I made Cameron drink. I danced with that guy and he lead me out back. Cameron came and got hit on the back of his head!

Ignoring my pounding head I sat down next to Cameron and put his head on my lap again.

"Cameron wake up" I told him while shaking his shoulders a bit.

No response. Panicking even more I tried to feel his heartbeat. Letting out a sigh of relief once I felt his heartbeat.

"Cam wake up please" I plead while shaking his shoulders a bit harder this time.

No response.

"Cam wake up! Wake up! Please, please Cam wake up! I'm scared" I said desperately.

It was the truth I was scared. Like about to piss my pants kind of scared. Of course I was scared anyone in my position would be.

You wake up in a cell hangover with your bodyguard who's passed out because he was knocked out by a metal stick yesterday. Oh and you realized you’re in your father's enemy's hand.

Tears were silently falling down my face by then. I didn't know what to do so I just sat there crying and shaking his shoulders.

"Your tears are wetting my face tater tots" he joked weakly.

I look down to see him staring at me. There was dirt all over his face and body making him look like a homeless guy. His eyes were a duller color then they were before.

"I-I thought y-you w-w-were going to d-die" I choked out between sobs.

Reaching out his hand and putting in on my face, he rubbed my tears away with his thumb. I started into his eyes and there was nothing I wanted to do more then to kiss him.

"I can't die so don't worry. My head is killing me though." He told me and I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Yeah you did get whacked in the back of your head. And who gets drunk after one shot?" I asked half jokingly.

"What? By who?! And that shot was spiked just so you know."

That made sense. Cameron doesn't look like the type to get drunk easily. Fuck that means it was my fault that we're in this situation. Guilt washed over me and I had to look away from him.

Like he was reading my though he said, "It's not your fault how could you possibly know the drink was spiked? Now tell me who took that cheap shot?"

"Blue head" I stated

"What?" Cameron asked as he sat up.

"Ahhh my head" he groaned

"You okay?" I asked concerned

"I'll be fine. Now we got to find a way out"

"How? We're practically in jail." I whispered.

"Did they come to check out how we're doing or gave us anything to eat or drink?" Cameron asked ignoring my last sentence.

"No?" I said confused

He stood up and started patting his waist.

"What are you doing" I ask while standing up too. My head felt a bit better, but it still hurts like a bitch.

"They took our guns"

"Of course they did. They aren't idiots to get us here." I told him.

"Avery listen close. At any moment in time I say run, you do it alright?" Cameron's whole voice changed. He didn't have a hint of teasing or jokingly in his voice like he normally did. His face was also completely serious making his eyes turn almost black.

This Cameron scared me.

"W-what? Where am I going to run to? We're stuck inside a cell" Waving my hands around to emphasize the cell.

"I'll get us out. But in the state I'm in I'm probably not going to be able to get us both out. So once I say run, you get the hell out of here and go somewhere safe okay? Once your safe try and contact your dad okay." Taking all the information in all I could think about was he was risking his life for mines.

"I'm not lea-" Before I could finish that sentence, Cameron took a step closer to me so we were only inches away.

He placed his lips on mines in a swift movement making me stock still. His lips were warm and felt...perfect against mines. After a moment of shock I responded to his lips. Our lips moved together in sync for what felt like forever before he pulled away. Placing his forehead on mines we started into in each other’s eyes trying to catch our breaths.

"I'll be okay. I just need you to be safe first okay?" He said breaking the silent, I nodded.

Opening my mouth about to say something else, but the sound of a door opening made me quickly shut it. Cameron gave me one last look before moving away from me. Without the heat from his body I felt oddly cold. If it wasn't for the situation we're in I would've grabbed him and never like go. I've never felt the need to have someone close to me so badly before. But with Cameron it was different...

The sound of footsteps echoed in our cell. I stood completely still as the person reach our cell. It was blue hair guy. I looked over at Cameron to see him look at blue hair with hatred.

"Here's your food dogs" he sneered at us.

I was about to step forward to grab the tray but Cameron got to it first. Instead of taking the tray like I expected he quickly grabbed both of blue hair boy's hand and pulled it roughly inside our cell. The tray of cheap bread and dirty looking water fell to the floor. Blue guy's eyes widen in shock. He was about to say something or scream, I'm pretty sure the latter but Cam beat him to it.

"Say a word and I'll break both of your wrist." Cam warned in a threatening voice that made me shiver.

Blue hair guy nodded quickly and shut his mouth. Fear clearly written in his eyes.

"Avery reach for the keys on him" Cameron ordered. I did it without question.

After patting him for the keys for a couple of seconds I found it. Ripping it out of his pocket I found a set of keys tied together.

"Which one is it?" Cameron asked the blue hair guy.

"T-the one with 3 b-black marks on it"

I quickly found it and unlock the cell door.

"Avery run" those words made me freeze.

Could I just leave him? What if he gets hurt or worst killed..?

"Run!" He ordered more forcefully this time. His face was stone cold as he stared at me.

My eyes started to water which made Cameron's face soften a little bit.

"I'll be okay I promise. I just need you to go first okay?" He told me softly.

I didn't want to. I really didn't want to but I did. I gave him one last look before I started running the way that blur hair guy came from.

'Please be okay Cameron' I thought as I ran.
