I finally pull into her driveway. I cannot believe I still cannot place why she looks so familiar. I can't remember her name for the life of me. I really do need to find that part out. I look at her over in the passenger seat, and I can't help but to stare. She looks so peaceful when she's sleeping. Even with her face beat up, I know this girl is gorgeous. I don't understand why Todd would beat her up. I want to know more. She hasn't said a single word to me since I first helped her in the hallway. I finally decide to wake her up. I gently shake her shoulder trying not to cause her any pain. "Hey, wake up. We're here." She gives out a slight groan and slowly opens her eyes. Her emerald eyes sparkle as the flutter open. "I ask her if she wants my help to get inside. She just shakes her head and starts to get out of the car. Once she stands fully up, I see her start to sway. Damn it Todd. I quickly get out of my car and race over to her side before she falls. I once again put her arm around my shoulder and my arm around her waist. With her leaning on me we slowly make our way up the stairs to her house. It's a decent looking one story house. I ask her for the house key and she struggles to hand it to me. I get the door open and ask which way she wants me to take her. She points to the room next to us. I carry her in, and see a couch. I help her sit and she ends up lying down. I can see that she is passing out again. I don't want to leave her alone so I find a blanket in a basket next to the couch and toss it over her. I get up and walk out of the room looking for the kitchen. I find it and make my way over to the fridge. I find cold packs in a drawer in the freezer. There are a couple towels on the stove so I grab those and a couple of the packs. I head back to what I'm assuming is the living room. I see her completely passed out on the couch and walk over to her. I hope I'm not crossing any lines taking care of her like this. I lift her shirt a little and gasp. Her toned stomach has dark purple and black bruises all over it as well as her side. I lay the towels over her stomach and set the ice packs on her. She shifts a bit in her sleep. I pull the blanket back up over her. I head over to sit in the recliner next to her. As I watch her sleep, I feel my eyes start to close. I ended up falling asleep.
