•Chapter 2 • a new friend

The class ended and I started to pack up and headed off to the next two classes I had without nix and then the last one with him .

So I walk to phoenixes last class with my stuff. when I get there I saw a confused nix looking at his timetable like it was a two headed rat. I chucked at how confused he was then stopped when he looked at me. " ummm can you uh help me find my next class please?" I nodded and took the timetable from him " you have music now and so do I so I will walk you there if you want" he nodded and off we went to go for music class. " so do you like music ..... nix?" I said only audible for him to hear. He gave me a warm smile "yeah I love music how bout you? Everly ... hmmmm can I call you eve since you can call me nix?" I giggled at his response and nodded then we stopped not because we were at class but because there was a group of girls in our way. " hi I'm brittney what was you name again nick or was it Phil anyway what class you heading to I can take you there if you want!" The leader if the sheep said to Phoenix. She was talking so fast and I had a confused look plastered over my face.
Great he's gonna go with them and forget me in a second and I will be alone again.
"No thank you"
I was snapped out of my thoughts when nix pulled me through the group of girls I was so surprised.
" um thank you but wouldn't you rather have them show you to your class?" I mumbled "no" he simply said as we arrived at the class room. Nix and I chatted as we walked to the back of the the room waiting for the teacher to arrive.   "So eve you have two brothers and live with your mother... right? Do you have any friends?" Nix asked and I shook my head all he did was give me a warm smile and watched as the teacher walked in. "Ok class today I'm going to pair you up and then you are going to preform at the end of the term. You can write a song , sing a song that has already been made or you can write a music piece. So your partner is gonna be whoever you siting next to and yeah you guys can start now." HELL YEAH i thought to my self then I turned to see nix with the same expression plastered on his face. So this is what it feels like to be excited to do something with someone. "So uh what do you wanna do?" He said to me. " LETS WRITE A SONG!" We said in sync. I laughed and so did he.  "Everly,Phoenix quiet down the back!" The teacher mr Barnes said furrowing his eyebrows at us. We just silently giggle and nodded. "Ok so let's start can you play guitar?" I giggled I have so many great ideas for this!!!!
"I can't play guitar but I can play the piano!" Nix said with a smile then we started to chat about ideas.
RINGGGGGGGGG!
the bell went and everyone started to pack up. "Hey um do you wanna come to my house this afternoon and we can work on the assignment task thingy also we should uh exchange numbers just in case." Nix looked nervous that I would say no. "Yeah sure oh and here's my number." I said as I wrote my number down. We exchanged numbers and walked side by side down to his car outside. I will text my mum that I'll be home later. " hey um should we go to the beach instead of my house cause well it's kinda messy and my sisters will be annoying" he said with a hint of annoyance then He put a song on the radio and we sang along as we hit the free way. The song was stutter by maroon 5!
