Chapter 5

~The Day Of The Date~

   "Katelynn hurry up! We still have to do your hair and make-up!" Becca exclaimed. She acted like this was her date. As i was walking out of my bathroom to see what Becca picked out for me I noticed the door was open to my room. "Becca?" i said walking in. "Hi" i heard a familiar voice call. I turned and saw Hunter sitting on my bed. Eyes were bloodshot, lip was busted, and his shirt had blood on it. "Hunter? What are you doing here?" i asked walking towards him. He looked at me for a bit before amswering which made me uncomfortable since i was only in a towel. "I-i was coming to see you. Ya know to apoligize but when i got to the corner up the street some guys jumped me..they took everything..My money, my wallet. Everything. And they beat the shit outta me. So i ran home and my dad was drunk again and when he heard what happened he called me a sissy and beat me even more and when my mom tried to stop him he threw her against the wall and i ran out and your place is the only place i could think of. Im sorry. I know you probably hate me but you're the only person i could think of" he said before bursting out in tears. "Oh my god Hunter im so sorry." was all i could get out. I hugged him and he hugged me even tighter crying. I started rubbing his back when Myles bursted through my bedroom door. "Hey, sorry to break up this kodak moment but we have a date." he said sounding annoyed. "Are you gonna be okay?" i asked Hunter. He nodded without looking up. "You can stay here tonight. take my bed. Ill be home soon" i said before rushing into my bathroom to get changed. I was wearing. skinny jeans and a red crop top. I brushed my hair and threw on some makeup. I was walking out the door when Hunter spoke. "Katelynn?" he said. "yeah?" i replied. "Be Careful." he said before the horn blasted. Why would he say that?

~Drive In~

      "Damn Katelynn. You look hot" Myles saif. I blushed and thanked him. As the Movie started he put his arm around me. I smiled and turned towards the movie.
