surfacing

Chapter one

I got into my car at 40 years old with my 15 year old girl and my 17 year old boy. We all sat down inside the car, buckled up, and I turned on the radio. 101.1 like always and the speaker said, "Here is number one on the billboard charts by 5 Seconds of Summer called Amnesia." I was still getting ready to leave so I just let the radio play so I could see what my kids are listening to these days. I was listening to the lyrics of the song like I always do but this one song was different. This one actually hit me as my glossy eyes turned into tears. I sat down in the drivers seat and set my head on the steering wheel. I could hear my son and daughter worrying beside me. They both asked with concern repeatedly, "Mom, mom are you okay? Whats wrong!?" Until I heard my son shout, "MOM!" I looked up to his face with tears streaming down my flushed cheeks I said, "What." He grabbed my cheeks with the palm of his hands and he asked me in a stern voice, "Why are you crying" he asked me and all that I said was, "becuase its true." My son and daughter bothed asked what I was talking about. All that I said back was, "the song, you know this song and its lyrics are all true." "They are more true that i have ever heard anyone every say before." They told me to explain more so I started the story. //

Okay guys this is literally the first story I have ever written before so just bare with me as I write this. I'm still getting use to how to update things and stuff so sorry if some things make no fucking sence. Lastly, sorry that this chapter was so short its not really even a chapter but i'm just setting things up in the story so yeah.
