Beca drove to the beach, and found Chloe sitting in the sand, looking out at the ocean.
Beca didn't say anything, she just sat beside her, following her gaze."Why are you here?" Chloe asked, breaking the uncomfortable silence, and Beca's heart broke a little when she heard how hurt Chloe sounded.
"I came to make this right..." Beca said. "That kiss...it wasn't what it looked like." Chloe laughed bitterly."It wasn't what it looked like? Then what was it, Beca? Why did I see you and my sister kissing?"
"I'm the girl, Chloe! I'm the Beca that Jade fell in love with that summer. That's me!" Beca exclaimed.
Chloe's eyes widened, and she looked down."Do you still love her?" Chloe blurted out, and Beca sighed.

Chloe didn't say anything, so Beca continued.
"That kiss was goodbye, Chloe. That's all it was." Beca explained, tears pooling in her own eyes.
"I needed that goodbye so I could truly, and honestly mean it....when I say...that I love you..."
Chloe's head shot up to meet Beca's gaze. Beca just smiled.
"I love you, Chloe Beale."
"I...I-I..." Chloe started. "I love you too, Beca Mitchell."
Beca reached out and cupped Chloe's face, smiling through the tears. She leaned in, and kissed her.
But there were no fireworks like the first time they kissed.
It simply felt like they were finally coming home...A/N: Thank you so much for reading this short story! I'm thinking about making an epilogue chapter, but I'm not sure.
