There was light and it was so bright. Everything was so white. I didn't know what's happening. My eyes hurt and for some reason they started melting. Like there was something wet coming out of them. I started screaming because I didn't know what was going on. I realised I wasn't alone. There were some giants around and they all were dressed in white. One of them took me in his hands and I started screaming even harder. The giant put me under something transparent and wet. It had no taste but it made me feel good. Then he wrapped me in something soft and took me to another giant who was on something white with a lot of red thing on it. I stopped screaming. I kinda liked that giant more and I was relieved when it had me in its hands. After that I don't remember much but I wasn't in that white place anymore and I started understanding some things. Those giants were humans and I was a human too but a small one. I guess I was going to become like them. I had a name. It was Layla. And I had a mom and a dad. They had names too and they could talk and I could understand everything but I couldn't say a word no matter how hard it tried. Finally I succeeded. My first word ever was food. I had to say it because mom and dad were having lunch and didn't give me anything. When I said it my mom started screaming and ran out of the room and I thought she will bring me some food but instead she brought that electronical thing and told me to repeat. I said it again and she seemed to be really happy....
Years passed and I was already 12 years old. You have no idea how hard was it to pass through all of them. I was going to school and I kinda noticed that all other kids weren't the same as me. Well of course everyone is different but I was a lot different. If I shared my thoughts with someone he thought I was crazy. That's probably why I didn't really have a lot of friends. Actually I had only one and I had a crush on him. His name was Noah. We spent a lot of time together. He was the only one who understood me. And plus that he was very good looking too....but not everything was perfect. We were called "nerds" and all the "popular kids" were really mean to us. I didn't understand the logic at that...However I had the best summers with him. It was truly awesome. We explored so much places and dreamt about the time when we can get a car and go somewhere further than our tiny town.
Dreams, dreams, dreams. We have them so we can think of something everyday and work on actually doing it. So we were already 18 and we bought a car and both of us had a driving licence and went somewhere in every free minute. I had a great life so far but one though was trapped in my mind: what is the meaning of my life?
