By the way, if you don't want to read the long bio on Allowists, I'll summarize it. But I suggest looking at the formal page on Allowists for a better explanation.
Basically Allowists are creatures who can connect with the soul realm to shift from corporeal form (the big dragon-y form) to wisp form (the little thing on fire). Talented Allowists can also use soulfire. They can shoot it from their paws in wisp form.
Allowists live in one of three kinships: Lykinus, the light kinship. Livulus, the fire kinship. And Letalus, the death kinship. Each of these three elements is what makes up the Soul Realm, but being in one of these tribes doesn't make you that element. For example, being in Lykinus doesn't make you a light element necessarily.
There are also ranks for Allowists, the highest being obviously royalty.
The marking on the shoulder of an Allowist is called it's Soul Sign. It is the base for all of an Allowists spells. All basic magic is determined by the Soul Sign.
