(CLOSED) LUMOS: A Harry Potter Fanfiction Book Club

Week #14 - July 1-7

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT at the bottom about a new on-time/late policy. Also PLEASE make sure you are all completing the right number of comments. You should be leaving THREE inline comments and ONE longer comment on each of two chapters of your partners book and the BOTW. Reminder that the in-lines don't need to be just critique style suggestions. They can be just your average comment as well.  So that's a total of four comments per chapter, four chapters total per week that you're responsible for. 

Thank you everyone! Most of you are doing this, but as we get new members I'm seeing more and more people not doing the full assignment and I'd really like to keep up the quality of this club because in it's first couple weeks everyone was so involved and so wonderful and it is still that way, but it's also more difficult to manage with more people so these check-ins about rules are just to keep up the integrity :)

Lastly, just a heads up that next week I will probably take a week off from posting a new assignment because I'll be in tech for a show I'm in and have no life :) 

PART ONE

EVERYONE is responsible for reading two or more chapters of the book of the week and for leaving at least three in-line comments and one longer 4+ line comment at the end of each chapter. Make sure to use #lumos on your comments so I can find them.

If you are partnered with the book of the week person, this just means you will read twice as many chapters of the same story as opposed to from two different stories.

Let me know if you have questions about the assignment! Again, make sure to use the #lumos on all your comments, and to come back here and comment "done" when you've completed the assignment for the week. Please have this complete by next Saturday, July 7th so that I can post the next week's assignment on Sunday.

Below is a list of people who have yet to complete their assignment. I'm beginning a new policy where if I have not heard from you and your assignment is still incomplete, I will not put you into the next week's assignment. If you catch up and let me know you're ready to be back in AND complete assignments on time, I will add you in the next week again. If I don't heard from you, I'll assume you're no longer part of the club. I'm doing my best to make sure everything is fair and that everyone is participating, but even with reminders, not everyone gets to it. Life is busy! I totally get that! It's crazy for me too! I try to be very understanding when things come up and you need a little more time. But as a general rule, if you make this commitment, I really need you to be all in. I can't chase after everybody. This will also help me to weed out people who join the club and then don't actually participate.
