Waking up the next day to being in the bed alone I shook my head. I didn't get any sleep last night with Ayana not in the bed. Ive gotten so used to her being there, sleeping alone just didn't feel right. Getting up I went to go check on Ayana to see if she was still mad, which she was since the door was still locked.
"I know you woke," I said through the door, getting no answer.
"And I know you hear me," I said still getting ignored.
Feeling myself getting pissed I walked away. I knew she was mad but it wasn't that serious for her to still be mad. She was doing the most and I wasn't about to play those games with her. She wanted to be mad then she could be, she'll get over it eventually. Walking around the house I tried to find something to do, I was hungry as fuck but I knew wasn't gone be any cooking this morning.
Going into the basement I decided to count my money, I had too much in the house. I've been slacking on getting the money out the house. Ayana completely distracted me. I had to count and double count it. Double-counting was just something I always did, I don't trust the counter so I count after they count to make sure it's right. Pulling out my money counters I made quick work of getting the money counted. The doorbell ringing distracted me fucking up my count.
I wasn't expecting anybody today and I just talked to Bright. He didn't say shit about stopping by. Thinking it was some bullshit I grabbed my Glock. Creeping up the stairs I went to see who it was, moving quickly as I looked around. Hoping Ayana wouldn't come out to get it. I was in luck as the bell rung again and again and she didn't appear. Damn she must really be pissed at me.
Gripping my gun I crept to the door, peeking out the side glass to see the last person I thought I would see for the next 20 years. Standing there in the flesh looking at me with a big ass Koolaid smile was Adonis.
"Wassup Lil Brah" he screamed loud enough for me to hear him through the glass. Opening the door he pulled me in for a hug one I returns hugging my brother tight. What the fuck was going on?
"What? How?" I asked stepping back tucking my gun in my jeans.
"Long story for another time right now a nigga hungry and I heard through the grapevine ya shorty can cook," he said rubbing his stomach.
"Through the grapevine you mean Bright?" I said side eyeing him. Bussing out laughing he nodded his head.
"Oh, Brah I need 250 for the cab I caught from jail." He said scratching his head.
"Why you didn't call me I would've come and got you?" I asked.
"Cause I wanted to surprise y'all that's why where that nigga Bright at anyways?" Adonis asked walking in the house looking around.
"The hospital" I said walking in behind him.
Turning around, Adonis' face got serious real fast.
"The hospital? What's wrong with him?" He asked.
"Nothing his shorty mom got popped by her dad that's not her dad" I replied
Adonis gave me a face that said what the fuck?
"Yea that's a long story for another time right," I said making Adonis smack his lips.
"Cmon Brah I know it's some leftovers in here. Little mama ain't cook today and probably not gone to" I said leading him into the kitchen, Adonis' eyes was going everywhere as he walked through.
"Ok I see you this joint nice," he said still admiring the house.
On the outside, it looked like a regular house but the inside was completely gutted and left in its wake is a beautiful house with open floor plan, a grand staircase leading upstairs from the front hallway. Everything was a mix between marble, hardwood and plush carpets. It was a beautiful 5 bedroom 3 1/2 bath house.
