Riiiiiiiiing!

The halls were filled with gossiping, laughing, and walking (more like running, actually) students not a second after the bell rang, signaling the end of today's classes. I, of course, were one of those students getting swarmed and trampled trying to reach my friends at the school's garden.

Cool, right? It has a lot of flowers and trees of different shapes and colors. I for one, loved staying near the roses as it reminds me of the scent of my mother who used to hug me a bunch. The garden was taken care of by this sweet old lady named Claire. She was in her late 60's but she was still able to tend the garden, and very well if I may add. I would always frolic around with my friends or go alone to write haikus about my life.

It's kind of absurd now that I think of it. Who writes haikus? I'm pretty sure not much even know how to write one, much less know what a haiku is. Haikus are basically three line poems which follow the pattern of five syllables on the first and last line and seven syllables on the second.

I think I may have blabbered on again...

Anyways..

I pushed through the bodies carefully as I made my way through the hallway leading to the school's entrance. As I finally got out, I sighed in relief as I continued to walk through the campus filled with posters for senior prom. (A/N: So cliché, I know. Hehe) There's always this annual senior prom in Heavenly Rose High. But I think it's quite different from your regular school prom. Every year, the principal will uncover a time capsule from a few decades ago and place our own time capsule for other generations to pass.

Heavenly Rose High is pretty much the oldest school in this country, having being functional from five centuries. It may be hard to believe, but every history book told it all. Unfortunately, as time passes by, Heavenly Rose High got less popular because of the new schools built that rely on technology.

But of course, every year, we also have fun and dance and eat to our hearts content. Every year, we also have different themes. This year's theme being Angels and Devils. It may seem pretty normal, but we've had weirder ones before.

Like two years ago, we were shocked to see seniors staggering around with butt ugly make up and ripped dresses and tuxes. Apparently, the theme was Zombie Land, which wasn't really appealing to the little ones on the Children Daycare program we held which was conveniently on the same day as the senior prom.

Now that I think of it, senior prom always happened at night time after that scenario.

I walked towards the entrance of our garden, waving at the sweet gardener as I did so. The aroma of different flowers hit me all at once, and it was a tad bit dizzying as well. I sprinted as I saw all of my friends waiting for me, chatting near the fountain.

"Hey guys." I panted, smiling as I greeted them.

"Sup Sapphie." Calvin, our group's clown, greeted me with a funny face that made it look like that he was about to sneeze.

We all giggled as he did this. Calvin was always the funny one, from corny jokes to small pranks on everyone now and then. I met him when got stuck inside my locker while trying to prank his friend but went into mine instead. I helped him out and he was eternally grateful for it and asked me if I wanted to help in his prank.

"Girl, where've you been?" Sassy Sarah, I'd like to call her, snapped her fingers whilst questioning me. Sarah was very sassy and you do not want to cross her when she's in the mood. Although she might be a little intimidating, she's a softy at heart and cares very much for animal safety.

I met her while she was handing out posters campaigning for an animal shelter.

I shrugged and simply said "Just had a talk with Mrs. Johnson about this years prom arrangements." Sarah nodded her head in acknowledgement.
