Dan was sitting on his bed, slightly lying at the same time. He was staring at the wall in front of him; his expression blank.
Dan hadn't been able to sleep properly recently so dark circles had formed under his eyes.
Words kept on going through Dan's head as he heard the same annoying voice over and over.
Phil's girlfriend.
Kill her. Kill her. Just do it. She took him away from you. The voice went.
It rang through Dan's head like the never-ending siren of an ambulance. He wanted to rid it of his mind... but it just would not leave.
Dan wasn't a violent person.
'These are just psychotic thoughts that you have every other day... it's fine... they'll go' Dan kept telling himself.
The voice wouldn't go.
