ELECTRA TRAN WAS A PROFESSIONAL BITCH, AND SHE LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF BEING ONE. ( sure, it had its downsides, like the time she had utterly puked her guts out in front of flash thompson, or when her gucci bag was stolen for two weeks⏤but she enjoyed it, nevertheless.) the students of midtown high knew better than to mess with her, and she hardly ever messed with them—at least, for the most part. electra seemed to have an advantage, after all, and she did. boys flocked to her, girls envied her, and she seemed to constantly have everything, from parties to popularity to porsches. (but electra, remind you, was also that girl. she seethed. she stabbed. she snarked. and she knew it perfectly well.) electra was on top of the world, undefeated and untouched.
however, she didn't really expect to activate something inside her on that faithful night, while running away from the crash. she didn't really expect to literally spout electricity from her hands, or accidentally set fire to a street pole, or blast lightning in the face of a world-famous criminal. and she didn't really expect spiderman (who strangely sounded like peter parker from bio class) or the avengers themselves to even notice.
( and electra also didn't expect that she would ultimately later come to save the world—and maybe, in the process, change for the better. )
