Dean and Castiel had been Coworkers at The Impala coffee shop, a coffee shop based off the 60's era, playing Elvis with the guitars on the walls and photos of Marlin Monro, for 3 years now. Both in college just trying to make an income until they graduate. They both started in high school, but Cas started in his Junior year when Dean started a year later in his Senior year.

"ONE TRIPLE RED EYE FOR 'SAMMY'!!" Dean called out. "Yeah, thanks, Dean." "No problem, little bro, just be sure to get your English report done by tomorrow or you're going to fail that class." "I know, thanks mom." Sam said sipping his coffee rolling his eyes. As Sam walked out the door, he bumped into Charlie. "Oops, oh, hey Sam!" "Hey, Charlie!"  Sam said trying to walk out the door.

"You really do look out for Sam as much as you can, don't you?" Castiel said making a espresso for another customer. "Yeah. Since our parents died in that car crash, Bobby has been taking care of us, and Bobby has been getting pretty old and since that hunting accident he can't do as much as he use to do." Dean trailed off a little at the end, getting lost in thought. "Anyways, how's life been for you, Cas?"
Cas was putting the foam in the order as he said "It's been good I guess."

And that was when Dean got concerned. He knew Cas had delt with a bit of suicidal thoughts in the past, so he got scared. That was his best friend, he couldn't lose him too. "What do you mean by that?"
Cas sighed and said "I mean, I haven had a date since high school and Valentines Day is coming up and I doubt I'm going to have one any time soon to that, you know? And seeing all those couples here for the Annual Valentine's Day bake sale and karaoke night, I'm going to feel lonely."

Just as he said that, Charlie came up tying her apron around her waist for her evening shift replying with a "But you'll have us."
Cas gave her a stern sideways glance. "You know what I mean. A night under the stars, being wrapped up in the moment not caring about what else is happening around you, with his arm around me just enjoying the moment with each other. Dancing the night away." Charlie chimed when Castiel started spinning around. "Okay there, Cinderella. You may not have a date this year, but there is always next year." "Yeah, but you have a girlfriend."

Just then, Dean got an idea. He's liked Cas since the moment he saw him. Those blue eyes really did something to him. He got to know Cas during his week of training when Castiel was his trainer. During their breaks they learned more about each other. Dean's mother died in a car crash when he was 4 and Sam was 6 months old and their father made deals with the wrong people and ended up getting shot. Cas was an only child with a single father who wasn't really there for him much, so when Cas was 18, he moved out the second he could into his own apartment and started college. Then along came Charlie. She has a life that was like theirs mixed together. Her father died in a car crash also and her mother has been in a coma from it ever since. But she was also an only child and really just fended for herself since then. She was like the little sister Sam and Dean never wanted and the little sister Castiel never got the change to have.
Dean was going to ask for a bit of Charlie's help on this idea, but first he had to think of exactly what to do first.

Time skip to Dean off of work just getting home

Dean opened the front door just to see Sam sitting on the couch typing away on his laptop and Bobby in the kitchen cooking dinner. "Hey, kiddo, how was work today?" "It was great, how about yours?" "Worked on a couple of cars and listened to the old radio. Dinner will be done in just a minute." And with that being said, Dean walked into his room to plan the perfect Valentine's Day night for Castiel.

Time skip to Valentine's Day because I'm the writer and I can do what I want.

Dean's POV
I was pacing around the room panicking a little saying "What if he doesn't like it?" Or "what if he says no?" Or "what if he doesn't like me back?" All these "What if's" going through my mind. It's difficult not knowing how someone else feels about you. Oh shoot! It's 6:30! I have to get to work!
