Life is funny sometimes, you meet someone and everything seems to just...work. No effort needed just the perfect fit, two people so right for each other it's almost better than Cinderella. That was us. Harvey Brooks and I.
We were the perfect fit but now sitting here on this beach where we first met I wonder how something that seemed so perfect could be so wrong, and how could it be hurting us both so badly?
The sea crashed against the rocks - it's a voilent relationship the sea and the rocks have with each other but perhaps it's not really a relationship but a routine, and the familiarity is more appealing than the 'relationship' everyone seems to think it has.
I don't even think I could pinpoint the moment our relationship started to 'break', the precise moment someone pulled out the wrong block in the game of Jenga and the whole tower cane crashing down.....
But I suppose to really get the idea of what is happening we need to travel back a year and a bit, just before I met Harvey Brooks.
