"So, where's the boyfriend?"
"Ummm, I don't have one."
"Oh sorry, you're a lesbian? Kinky."
"No! Not that either!"
"So then, what's wrong with you?"
"Nothing!" I shout as I punch him cheekily on the arm. He smiled at me again and my knees felt weak. He placed his hand into mine and my insides all became a group of mush.
He pulled out his phone from his shorts pockets and unlocked it with his four digit password. He flicked onto contacts and add new. He began typing my name, then he turned the face of the phone towards me - hinting for me to type in my number.
"You're gorgeous" he said as he pushed my golden hair behind my ears, and lifted my sunglasses to the top of my head "you also have beautiful eyes."
I blushed so hard, and I tilted my head down to avoid him seeing but it was all in vain as he put his warm fingers under my chin to lift my head up to face his. He was quite a bit taller than me so I was on my tip toes to get in line with him. He looked deeply into my eyes and I back into his.
The intimacy with him, an almost total stranger, in a place where I was so comfortable was almost magical. I couldn't get over his smile and his charm, it seemed so perfect and had my nosey friends not noticed us together by the water at the other end of the beach then there would have been some definite lip action but of course that would be too good to be true.
"MIAAAAAAAA" Stuart and Fi shouted in harmony as they waved stupidly across the beach.
Breaking our gaze with slight laughter Harvey said "I'm guessing they want you back"
"I guess so" I'm pretty sure I sounded like it didn't bother me but I was really disheartened that nothing had happened between us. Wait am I actually saying this? I'm upset something didn't happen with a total stranger? I was. But he didn't seem like a total stranger. I think he's Prince Charming.
"Tell you what, meet me at the pier tonight at eight and mabye we can carry on where we left off?" he smirked as he said it.
"Sure thing, Harvey Brooks, I'll be here at eight."
