I woke up at put on some house clothes. When I walked downstairs I was greeted by Baby D and Dae Dae.

"Hey."

"Hi." He said smiling.

"Hiii." Baby D said smiling and waving hard.

I laughed and sat next to him taking Baby D and putting him on my lap.

"Hi Baby D." I said smiling and showering him in kisses.

"Where's Maya?" I asked.

"Her job called her in last minute and she need a quick baby sitter." He said.

He looked at me. "You gotta babysit him today." He said.

I rolled my eyes.

"As for Chino. You know where he's at." He continued.

"Candace house?" I asked being petty.

He started laughing but I was so serious.

"You a funny petty." He said.

I chuckled and rolled my eyes.

It was silent for a little and I knew he wanted to say something.

"We gotta talk." He said.

"About?" I asked.

"Last night." He said.

I let out a sigh knowing that we were going to have to talk about this sooner of later.

I just hopped it would be later.

But last night when I was falling asleep. I was able to get my thoughts together.

"Ight lemme go first." I said putting Baby D down so he could run around.

"So you already know that I love you Daquan. But I can't be with you because of all the shit we got going on. Not to mention you were with my best friend and I understand that it was just for your father sake but it's just really weird." I said.

"I feel like the best thing for us would be to just stay friends. Until we could get things sorted out." I said.

You could tell that he was hurt. But he hit me with a gentle smile.

"Ight."

"Ight?" I asked.

"Yea. We both know that there's too much going on for us to be dating so being friends would be the best and safest thing for us." He said.

"Safest?" I questioned.

"Yea cause I had broke up with Candace last night and I guess my dad being him gave her his number. So when I called it quits, she called him, and he didn't like that." He said.

"Your father is that serious about the whole situation?" I asked.

"Look. Whatever this Chris nigga be getting his shit from, it's legit. If he's not getting it from me, my dad, or your brother then that means it's interfering with us and or business. One thing my dad doesn't like is when shit be interfering with his money." He said.

"So why couldn't he send someone else to do it?" I asked.

"Why would he do that when his son is close friends with the targets sister?" Dae Dae asked.

I let out a sigh. "Well that's unfair." I said.

He chuckled. "I know. But like I said I'm done with that shit now."

"So what did your father say when he herd what happened to you and Candace?" I asked.

"We started arguing or whatever but this argument got heavy because it was more than just the Candace situation. My father is toxic as hell and he never gives me credit or brings me up just put me down." He said.
