"Shhh, Rachel you'll wake them up."
"Shut up, Claire." Huh? I thought as I slowly opened my eyes, only to meet the shiny blue eyes of the anime Claire. What the heck? It still was extremely dark outside, what are they doing awake?
"Claire?" I call out with my raspy morning voice. I squint up softly at her. What the heck are they doing up in what I'm assuming to be the middle of the night? I slowly begin to get up before I feel someone lightly push me down once more.
"Shhh, go back to sleep, we're just grabbing a snack," Claire whispered softly to me before she grabbed Rachel's wrist gently and pulled her out of the room with a quick motion. Whatever they were doing I couldn't really care, my head was way too fuzzy for me to be able to think straight. I'll worry about that in the morning.

"Becca, wake up!" I was suddenly awakened by a blindingly bright light along with a loud, annoyingly familiar voice. Oh yeah... I'm still here, sweet. I rub my eyes softly and groan before slowly dragging myself out of bed and planting my pale feet onto Ayaka's utterly soft rug. "Morning ramen hair!" Sophia mockingly smiled as she reached out to rub my head. I swiftly swatted her hand away and got up. I'm always extremely grumpy in the morning. "Well," Sophia huffed, putting a hand on her large hip and frowning deeply. "Ayaka told me to wake you up because we have 'a big day ahead of us'," She explained, using air quotations at the end of her sentence.
"What does that mean?" I laughed, stretching and heading out of the small guest room, walking swiftly behind Sophia. As I quickly followed Sophia down the large staircase, I remembered the strange incident with Claire and Rachel. Turning my head quickly and looking back up the large wooden staircase, I felt a sudden strange feeling wash over me. I stayed very quiet, figuring that they were most likely in the kitchen already, but I couldn't help feeling nervous about it. As Sophia and I finally entered the small kitchen, I smelt an all too familiar scent of fresh pancakes.
The kitchen itself looked very cute in my opinion. The walls were painted a light, creamy yellow color with little wooden drawers, and a very colorful assortment of different types of flowers was placed neatly on a small windowsill over a gleaming metal sink. There was also a neatly made table with the fresh pancakes I had smelt. The pancakes were being eaten by an energetic looking Ayaka. It looked like she was writing down something on that clipboard she almost always had with her. She glanced up from her clipboard then, briefly smiling at me before she began to speak.
"Morning girls! I suggest that you get some food in ya before we leave!" Ayaka smiled at me, and delicately closed eyes a moment before turning her attention back to her clipboard and pancakes. I blink quickly for a second at her words, thinking for a moment. Leave? Where are we even going? I wondered, shaking my head dismissively and plopping myself down in one of the small, wooden chairs. Sophia sat down on the seat next to mine.
"Uhm, where is Claire and Rachel by the way...?" I cautiously questioned to nobody in particular. I noticed that Sophia's blue eyes widened in realization as she looked up at me.
"I totally forgot about them!" Sophia gasped, slapping her hands roughly against her soft cheeks almost comically.
"You fricking idiot!" I yell, whacking Sophia roughly on the head in frustration. She let out a loud and hiss of pain before she quieted down, rubbing her head softly. I quickly rolled my eyes and turned to look at the taller, pink haired woman waiting impatiently for an answer. I noticed her let out a huge sigh of frustration. Biting my tongue nervously, I glare up at her with my sharp green eyes. She probably knew what I was talking about based on the calm reaction she had, and she continued chomping on her pancakes, then let out a soft hum of acknowledgment before responding.
"Oh, they went on a short trip." She stated simply while writing down something on her clipboard, not even looking up at either of us. "Anyways, hurry up and eat, we gotta leave soon." Then she picked up her empty plate and dirty utensils, throwing them into the sink. My eyes widened at her words as I turned to Sophia who looked almost equally shocked at her actions.
"What do you mean by 'They went on a trip'?!?" Sophia yelled, standing up and slamming her hands loudly on the table. Suddenly a warm heat filled the room. My eyes widened in horror at the most horrifying sight before me as I jump back. Sophia's hair... It's on fire?!
"Sophia, holy shit!" I scream loudly while pointing at her hair in a quick panic. Sophia looked down and let out a shriek of her own, shaking her head back and forth trying to put out the colorful mix of red and orange covering her head. A string of cusses left her mouth as tears fill her eyes and she stops moving. Ayaka looked at her with wide eyes and smiled, clasping her hands together in delight.
"How does it feel, Sophia?" Ayaka asked the shocked girl, stepping toward her very slowly.
"I-I, I can't feel it." Sophia breathed out, looking at the fire that was draped over her now burned shirt and shorts in amazement. (Sophia's hair goes to her butt btw) (thicc -Hinata)
"Sophia you have a fucking quirk!?! That's what that means, right?!" I asked in an excited tone. This is almost unbelievable. She has a fucking quirk.
"That's exactly what that means! Congratulations, you exist!" Ayaka joyfully smiled at Sophia, grabbing her clipboard again and quickly writing more most likely useless shit down.
"Becca, I have an actual quirk!" Sophia yelled, turning quickly to me with an ecstatic face, jumping up and down, her fiery hair bobbing as she jumped, almost acting like it was real hair. I couldn't help but jump with her, I was so happy! I heard Ayaka let out a little giggle and pick up our plates, putting our unfinished food on the counter and grabbing what I'm guessing was her car keys before talking.
"I understand your excitement girls, but we really should get going. The entrance exam is tomorrow, we have barely any time to prepare the two of you!" She winked quickly at us before heading quickly out of the cute kitchen and towards the large front door of her apartment. Sophia and I looked at each other with quite mixed emotions. Sophia's hair suddenly went from flames back to her regular hair once again, causing us to erupt with laughter. Hearing a 'Hurry up!' from Ayaka, Sophia and I run out the door, completely forgetting about why Sophia's hair flared up brightly in the first place.
Another time skip brought to you by Sophia's burnt shirt
"I can't.. move." I pant as my legs finally gave out on me, causing me to fall roughly onto the itchy grass of the field Ayaka had taken us too. We have been trying to discover my quirk, learning to control Sophia's burning quirk, (Haha.... Kill me... -Hinata) and preparing quickly for the large entrance exam. We started training at 8:00 AM, and it's somewhere around 11:00 PM now. Back at home, I was used to having 4-hour cheer practice three times a week, but this? This was way too much for me.
"Yes you can, and you will," Ayaka glared down at me, kicking my leg lightly with her small foot. She reached down and pulled me up roughly by the wrist, dragging me over to an extremely tired looking Sophia who was aggressively chugging water on a wooden bench. Her long brown hair was messily framing her pale, sweaty face, her burnt shirt even more ruined then before from using her newly acquired quirk. So far we have discovered that she loses a bit of hair after using her quirk, much to her disappointment. Plus she can't really control it. She legit got a quirk this morning though, so I can't really blame her. Sitting down on the bench next to Sophia, I leaned my head back and closed my eyes, letting my tongue hang from my open mouth, trying to catch my breath.
"Alright, you guys did amazing today! Now we can go back to my place and take the written exam!" Ayaka smiled down at us, hands on her large hips and looking almost as energetic as ever. Sophia and I let out a loud groan of pain, sinking into the wooden bench more. Suddenly, I regret wanting to be a hero.
