SOPH'S POV

The last bell of the day rang so we all could go home, I was waiting for Brooke because I was her ride home but as I was in the parking lot searching for my car, when I saw Brooke talking to Justin and she was smiling so I figured she would take her home later.

I got inside my car and started the engine, I turned the radio on put my glasses on and drove home. When I got home, as always it was empty, when I was 16 my dad cheated on my mom and the night my mom wanted to leave, my dad started to choke my mom and hitting her.

Long story short, my dad killed my mom, luckily by me in the moment I saw what was happening, I called 911 and they arrested my dad but when they tried to save my mom it was already too late. So I decided to just get out and get my own life I had always saved all the money my mom gave me and as I am only child, my mom left me all her heritage, so I have enough to keep going on, and I'm working night shifts at a store to earn my own money, so it's okay.

I was watching TV when my phone rang, I didn't even bother to see the caller.

"Hello?"

I just heard sniffing. I looked at the caller ID and saw who it was Brooke. Oh god.

"Brooke, what's wrong? Where are you?"  I said.

"He dumped me." She whispered.

"Wait, who dumped you?"

"Justin dumped me, he said, he said I was-" I cut her off.

"Ok Brooke you have to calm down and tell me where you are okay?"

"At school."

"Ok Brooke stay right where you are I'm coming for you! And don't worry everything is going to be okay." I said cutting the phone call.

I grabbed my car keys, put on a jacket and some boots, and drove to school.

When I arrived, at first I didn't see Brooke but then I saw a little figure was sitting at the steps of school crying into its arms.

I run towards her and sat down next to her. She lifted her head to see who was beside her, and I saw her eyes red and puffy, when she put her head on her knees again I knew she only needed a hug. And that what I did, I hugged literally the life out of her while she was crying in my arms because of the same boy that had broken a couple of million hearts in his life. I had never seen Brooke like this and it was least to say I was worried.

I took her to my house so she could calm down and sleep and right before we went to bed she said something I never expected her to say.

"I'm going to make him pay for hurting me like that"-she turned to me- "and you are going to help me do that."

The next day

"You know what Natalie, I'm so sick of you!" Brooke shouted exiting my house.

"Well guess what Brooklyn, me too so get the hell out of my house and my life!" I shouted back at her before slamming the door shut.

So yeah, I was fighting with Brooke since this morning, when we woke up she was sad and crying again so I tried to comfort her but she just snapped at me and started shouting at me so I didn't like that.

Right now, I was so damn angry at her you can't even imagine. Today was Saturday so I just had dance practice at school, at 10. It was 8:30, I had perfect time to have breakfast, get my coffee and get dressed. I got dressed in my dance clothes, grabbed my bag, phone, car and house keys, and went to Starbucks.
