"Hello? Is anyone here? Where am I?" Tris asked. All she remembered was David shooting, seeing her mom, and waking up in a field of little white daisies. A bridge went across a little stream where a town could be faintly seen. Tris heard a rustling sound behind her and turned around. Her mother and father.
"Beatrice," her mother said, her eyes shining and her arms open wide. Instinct took over and Tris ran over to her. She felt her mom engulf her in arms and her dad embrace too, gently stroking her hair.
"You've done so well," she heard her father say. "Your mother and I are so proud." Tris felt the tears come. When she was out of her mother's embrace, she saw down on Earth Christina wailing and Tobias standing still. Tobias. She watched him try to squeeze the life into her cold body, give up, and just break down next to her letting the tears flow freely.
"Mom. Dad. I have to go back there," she said, the rivers now flowing from her eyes. "They're suffering down there. Tobias...he needs me. I need him with me."
"You don't know how much we've all said that," said a group of voices. Tris turned around and out stepped a group of people. Tris recognized Will, Marlene, Lynn, and Tori. A man with tan skin and sea green eyes stepped out of the group.
"I'm Finnick Odair," he said. One by one the other people in the group stepped out and introduced themselves. Fred Weasley, Sirius Black, Lily and James Potter, Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, Augustus Waters, Alaska Young, Will Herondale, Primrose Everdeen, Rue, Severus Snape...
"We can see them," said the man named Sirius Black. "We can see them, touch them, and talk to them, but they can't see us."
The boy named Will Herondale stepped out of the group and took her by the hand.
"We all have loved ones down on Earth. You're not alone," Will said.
He led her to where Tris saw a girl standing on a bridge. She was clutching a ring, and tears streamed down her face. A man in dark, long robes was also walking toward her.
"She is Tessa Gray," Will said, pointing at the girl on the bridge. "She was the first dream of my soul, and she still is," he said through misty eyes.
He turned to the man walking towards her. "He is Jem Carstairs, the other part of me. My parabati. My brother. They meet every year on that bridge, and I always go and meet them there.
By now Will had tears rolling down his face, and so did Tris.
"I still don't understand," Tris said quietly with small tears dropping one by one. "Where am I?"
"Your home, Beatrice Prior," Augustus Waters said.
"Welcome home," they all chorused.
