At the police station

May was scared.Her father was a good friends with the cops there.So they probably would believe him if he lied.When they sat in the lounge.May was shaking.Her younger brother Jeremy  took notice of grabbed her hand."It's gonna be okay just say what you know and you will be ok."Jeremy said giving her a smile.Jeremy may have been 11 but he was pretty mature and was handling the situation.Well May was and was not handling the situation well at all.But Jeremy's smile made her feel calm.But that calmness was washed away when the police officer came out.And called them in May stayed quiet during the interview."I think it may have been one of her ex husbands."Max said before the interview ended.With that the family sat up.And went home to eat dinner.Max had lots of moeny and dirt on the officers so even they wanted to they could not arrest him.When they got home Jeremy played video games with May trying to cheer her up.Which helped a bit.

Authors note:Yes I realize that Jeremy handling the situation well is unrealistic. Also May beats herself up about maturity later. So that's my explanation. MIGHT elaborate on it later keep in mind MIGHT.
