A long time ago, when endless fields were yet to be discovered and the seas were sailed through by cold-blooded bandits as well as men of honour, tales of monsters, treasures and great adventures were frequently recounted. One of the many stories that had been told revolves around a peculiar pistol. It hadn't been made out of gold nor was it garnished with the finest jewellery, but instead it didn't appear to be somehow special.
Its uniqueness, however, would solely come to light once its holder was to be situated amongst others who secretly desired to harm them. Then the weapon's barrel would slowly turn towards the said foe, revealing that person's true intentions, but still leaving the decision on how to handle the situation to the holder.
It should also be mentioned that the weapon would not only reveal the truth to the possessor, but also to the observers given the fact that the character of each and every individual could be determined by simply observing their behaviour when given the power to decide over life and death. Just like a person with a pure heart would lower the weapon and thus spare their opponent's life, the one whose heart remains in darkness would pull the trigger without a doubt.
