Chapter 2
I woke up to Derek kissing my neck and when I opened my eyes I smiled and looked at him. He smiled back and kissed me on the lips.
"Do you remember what we're doing today?" He asked while playing with my hair
I thought about it for a moment then it came to me. "We are going to a bvb concert today!!" I yelled and squealed. Derek laughed at my reaction and I quickly got out of bed and ran into the bathroom. I turned on the shower and got in as soon as it was warm. Then when I got out I did my hair and make up along with a few stitches coming from the sides on my mouth.
I got out of the bathroom to get ready for the concert and started looking through my closet. I decided on a white strapless dress with black lace ontop with designs of spiders and webs with a pair of fishnet tights and a small pair of shorts under the dress I case if the wind blew the dress up.
Then I ran out if the bedroom and into the kitchen get food and see Derek. Derek was wearing a white wife beater shirt with rips throughout it and a pair of black skinny jeans with a few chains hanging from it that had rips along the front and the back. I hugged him from behind and then he turned around and I saw that he had a thin layer of eyeliner on. I smiled and kissed his lips then we sat down together and ate.
The day was long till 3 o'clock came along. We got into his black Mercedes and Derek started driving towards the bar where the concerts gonna be. When we got there, there was a huge lineup of people going into it. Derek found a parking spot and we both got out and held hands.
We waited in line together, occasionally kissing and when we got in we ran as close to the front we could go. The place was packed and every time you moved you hit someone and apologized which also meant more people saw my scars and burn marks. When Jinxx walked onto the stage everyone went crazy, then Jake, CC, Ashley and Andy walked on. I let out a squeal of joy and they opened with 'In the end'.
I started singing along with Derek and we were having a great time. When saviour started, Derek lifted me up on his shoulders so I could get a better view. I reached out towards Andy and he touched my hand, I swear I almost died! When he saw my scars he gave me a sympathetic look and held my hand for the rest of the song. When he finished he spoke into his mic.
"Now why don't you come up here." He said to me smiling. "Everyone move out of the way so they can get through." I was stunned. Derek walked up to the stage and Andy picked me up off his shoulders and placed me on the stage gently.
"Now what's your name?" He asked and handed me the mic.
"Umm, uh- my name i-is Zelmere." I said nervously in the microphone. I was standing on stage with my most favourite band in the entire world. I simply couldn't believe it.
"That's a beautiful and unique name Zelmere. If you don't mind us asking, how old are your scars?"
"Um their uh- a year old."
"Not a lot of people with scars to that extent for what I could see walk around with the amount of confidence the guys and I see in you." He said smiling and I nodded "would you mind talking to the fans about how you walk around so proud and confident everyday?"
"Uh, sure umm.." I said nervously. "Well obviously I went through a very dark time when I was younger but it came to me in a way I'll never forget. I met my fiancée Derek when he was a senior and I was a freshman. He would talk to me sometimes and acted as if I was a normal human being. He was the only person that I knew who treated me with kindness and respect. I had a wall built up so nobody could see me cry or see me in pain so I self harmed. But Derek, he was able to destroy that wall I had created and reminded me that there is good and happiness, even in a world full of hatred and evil. When we dated I finally learned that I can be loved and that there was nothing wrong with my body. That I was a person to. Those thoughts made me think, why not show the world that there is hatred and evil, and that there's a way people can evolve from hiding in the darkness. I loved Derek then and to this day I still love him. Derek, is my saviour and when you all meet that one person, they'll be your saviour to."
Everybody started cheering and clapping at my tiny speech. Even the band started clapping.
Then Andy spoke up "where's this Derek? Everybody make a path so Derek can come through."
Derek came swiftly onto the stage and when he made it over to me he gave me a huge hug and kissed my head.
"We just want to say thank you to you Derek. You did a great deed even if it doesn't feel like it." Andy said cheerfully into his microphone.
"I'm glad I saved this beautiful girl. I'm even happier to know that she accepted to marry me." Derek replied and I blushed.
"Who wants to see that ring!" Ashley yelled into his mic. Everybody cheered and The band walked closer to us. I held out my hand with the ring on it and Andy gasped in delight.
"I like this couple even more guys! She has a freakin batman engagement ring!" He yelled.
Derek and I laughed together and the crowd erupted in cheers and laughter. We smiled and Andy asked us to go to the side of the stage. We walked over to the sideline and continued watching the show till it was over.
When the band walked off we thanked them for the opportunity to meet them and for the complement on the ring. They just said it was always nice to meet a member of the bvb army that has overcome depression and moved on in their life. We got a few things signed and were on our way.
Derek opened the front door for me and he told me to wait here cause he was going to get the car because it started raining. I sat on a bench and watched him pull out the parking spot but it all happened in slow motion to me. As he was driving over a van drove straight into his car. People walking by scream but I let out a shriek.
