I dive myself headfirst into the blue, chlorinated water beneath me. The water repetitivly splashing around me.

My hair floats around my head like a halo. My usually chestnut brown hair, now dark wet curls, follow close behind me as I jet off into the water.

My arms move on the side of my body gracefully. Each stroke timed perfectly.

I tilt my breathless head to the side and inhaled as much air as my lungs could hold before they burst. I quickly return my face below the surface of the water and started swimming again.

I glance upwards and see the cement wall a few feet in front of me.

Just like my brother taught me, I tucked in my legs, flipped, turned over, and pushed off of the wall, propelling myself to the other side.

I loved to swim since I was in diapers. My older brother, Asher, used to bring me to the pool and taught me everything he knew. He took me every Saturday for years. When he got sick, he couldn't take me anymore.

Then he passed away.

I still go swimming here, every Saturday. I've never missed a Saturday. Even that one time I came down with the flu.

I swim until I can't feel my arms and my legs, and I lift myself out of the pool, arms shaking.

My hair, my face, and the rest of my body were dripping with small water droplets. Gosh, I hate being wet, I thought to myself.

I wring out my hair, and tied it up into a bun.

I love the water, even though being wet bothers me, its worth it. The feeling of being completely surrounded by something so calming is relaxing to me.

But after I finish, I am dripping water droplets, and no matter what I do to dry off, I am still wet somehow.

Somebody yells at me from across the pool, "Hey, Johnson. Get off your lazy ass and give me 5 more laps."

I look over to see my best friend, Tyler, lounging on a beach chair. His brown hair is covered by a beanie.

Who wears a beanie to the pool? Tyler does.

I cuff my hands around my mouth so he can hear me. "Maybe you should get off your ass and into the pool instead of trying to tan your pasty body, Ty"

"You're gonna regret saying that!" He says slyly.

I watch him from across the pool as he grabs something in the canvas bag we brought to hold everything.

He grasps his fingers around something and pulls my phone out.

My eyes widen as I figure out his plans.

He eyes me with an evil smirk. "It might be waterproof but are you willing to dive 12 feet to get not only your precious phone but a tip."

He pulls out a 100 dollar bill and shuts it inside my watertight phone case.

Most the things I own are watertight and waterproof because I spend alot of time are the pool.

My mouth gapes open because he practically just lost me a phone.

Even though I'm a excellent swimmer I can barely dive deeper than 9 feet.

"Are you freaking serious right know." I scream.

I ran so fast, I don't think Tyler even saw me coming.

The lifeguards around us were blowing there whistles and screaming at us to not run, but we weren't listening. One even hopped off there little lifeguard tower.
