Bandana's POV
"Hey people!! Match day, wish to kardo" I said to Sameeksha and Disha.

"Badi khush lag rhi hai? Kya baat hai? Lagta hai vice captain pasand aane laga hai" Sameeksha said with a smirk.

"To be honest, he has changed now. Pehle se boht accha hai ab" I said.

"Disha" I said placing my hand on her shoudler, "tujhe apne sapne ke bareme baat nhi karni to it's okay, but trust me, ham dono hai tere pass. Kucch bura nhi hoga, okay?" I said, she smiled nodded.

"I'm nervous" Manjot said while we were setting the field. "What? Nervous? Tum?" I chuckled.

"I really hope ham dono ka selection ho jae kal" He said, "chill man, ho jaega selection" I said. He hummed.

He took his fielding position and I took mine.

It was a 20 overs match and we were half way through.

"Bandana hame apna 100% dena hoga. Shub century bana lega next do teen overs me. Zada se zada target 200 ka ho" Manjot said. I nodded.

I was fielding at mid off. Shubman hit the ball towards long off and there was no fielder there.

The ball was in the air. I ran to catch it. I dived and caught the ball, but as I didn't land properly, my right index finger bent and probably I fractured it.

The pain was saying it all. I was just sitting there, everyone came towards me. "Kya hua?" Manjot asked, "toot geyi shayad" I managed to say. They call Rahul Sir and took me to the medical room.

"Hospital leke chalo" The nurse said. Manjot and Sir took me to Gurukul's hospital.

Sameeksha's POV
"Kis gadhe ne kaha tha Bandana ko catch pakadne ke lie?" I asked while we were waiting outside Bandana's room.

"Umm...it's cricket you know, fielder hai to catch to pakadna hi tha" Manjot said.

"Kutte tera hi kaam hoga! Tune hi Bandana ko force kia hoga!!!" I said loudly, "tujhe to me..." I said running towards him.

Abhishek pulled me and wrapped his arms around my waist. "Abhishek yeh" I said, "shhh!! It's okay. Usse bhi dukh hai iss baat ka" He said pulling me closer.

His chest touching my back gave me goosebumps. "Relax" He whispered in my ear. I just hummed.

"Chalo betho yaha" He said and made me sit, "ab jab takk doctor bahar na aae tum kucch nhi bologi, okay?" He asked sitting next to me. I nodded like an obedient child.

He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer. I rested my head on his shoulder.

"Hua kese?" Abhishek asked. "Yaar woh catch pakad rhi thi. Dive maari par theek se landing nhi hui. Haath uski body ke neeche dabb gaya aur ungli toot geyi" Manjot explained.

I was about to open my mouth when Abhishek stopped me, "kya kaha tha mene?" He asked. I lowered my lashes, "good" He said.

The doctor came outside, "can you please see me in my cabin?" He asked. Manjot nodded.

"Shub" Abhishek said, "isse sambhaal, me dekhke aata hu" He said. Veerji nodded and sat next to me. I hugged his arm and rested my head on his shoulder.

"Bacchi ho bilkul" He said pulling my cheek. I giggled.

Manjot's POV
"Finger to fracture ho gaya" Doctor said. That just broke my heart.

"To matlab woh kal khel nhi paegi?" Abhay asked panicked, "koi chance nhi" Doctor replied.

"No man!!!! Uska itna mann tha jaane ka. Uska sapna toot jaega. Doc please, koi bhi tareeka nhi hai?" Abhay asked.

"Dekho woh fracture ko heal hone me 6 weeks lagenge. Iske baad woh thoda boht exercise kar sakti hai. Then she can start to play again" Doctor explained.

I hid my eyes behind my palm.

"Mandy, it's okay. She'll be fine" Abhay said placing his hand on my shoulder.

"How??? Woh at least do mahine nhi khelegi!!" I said. My voice became heavy.

"Mandy...why're you crying yaar? Theek hai woh. Thoda time hai bas, fir khelegi na!" Abhay said hugging me.

"Yaar...it was her dream. Woh nhi aa paegi ab" I said crying even more.

"Me bhi nhi jaunga" I said breaking the hug and wiping my tears.

"Mandy pagal mat ban. Tu jaega. Apne lie, hamare lie, apne dream ke lie, samjha?" Abhay asked.

"Nhi jaunga me. Ya to Bandana saath aaegi, ya ham dono nhi jaenge" I said leaving.
