It was oddly silent as she followed Ishikawa obediently behind. She never uttered a single word after their battle at the training grounds. It was like everything was washed away and never happened which for some reason didn't bother her like it should have. The only thing on her mind was shin,Ishikawas uncle.
The man was a mystery and she really wanted to solve it. It really did surprise her at first that he as the uncle of Ishikawa. But what really made her slightly worried was the fact he could be watching her for how ever long. He had for someone reason rubbed the wrong way too many times to count. He had, like she thought before, had come to her rescue when she needed it. But why?
"Hey Mikoto listen up. "Sarada stopped in trail from following the boy and watched him carefully. He had stopped in what must have been the middle of the village but yet not a single soul stirred from anywhere. It was as if this place was a ghost town. "This is where you would see children play." Ishikawa claimed as a single finger made it up to point towards an area.
Sarada followed his pointer finger and saw that a fountain of some kind stood there. It walls that looked to be knee level with her had seemed to want to fall at any moment.
It looked like it was ready to fall at any minute more like it. She brought her gaze back to the boy and took notice his face was stern and cold. "I want you to promise me Mikoto that you will never betray this village. I don't know fully of your background but I know this. You're like me. Our fathers are both idiots that only think of themselves. I-I" He brought his hand back to his side as he seemed to cling tightly to his pants with his fingers clenched around the fabric pant.
"I don't want to be tricked again Mikoto. Just promise to fight by our side-" Sarada had never meet a boy who had ever talked to her like this. Her cheeks started to heat up within seconds as she watched him turn to her. His long hair floated behind him as the breeze passed by making it look ever so angelic. His oval shaped dark eyes were narrowed ever so slightly but it was the deep darkness of the color that held emotion. He took a step towards her and held a hand out his pointer finger and middle finger the only things pointed out. What was he doing? Before Sarada could speak he grabbed her hand and placed it into his fingers grasping her middle and pointer finger. "Hey what are you try-"
"This is how I make promises with people. I promise I won't bully you severely more. And for you..I want you to make a promise that you will never betray us." He finished with his speech successfully answering her question. His grasp of her two fingers felt very warm and heavy. Sarada had never held someone's hand like this and it was boys had she was holding as well! Her gaze darted back to his and held it for a second before looking down to their entangled fingers. "I promise to help the best I can." She whispered feeling ever more childish as the words passed her lips.
She felt his fingers slide away from hers which made her look up to him again. He had his back turned to her rather quickly as he made his way to another direction. "Come my father wants us." He stated. Again it felt like they were brushing this away again. She followed behind him but not before turning to look at the fountain one more time and wearily thinking did she have the guts to protect this clan the way they wanted her too?
