Dom had lost count of how many hours he had been sitting in the hospital room waiting for the brunette girl, but it had clearly been enough for him to catch some sleep, he woke up to the sound of the door opening and a nurse push the bed in, "How is she?" he instantly asked, pushing himself up from the couch, "She's fine, under the post anesthesia effect." the nurse smiled, Dom smiled at the nurse and walked to the bed where the brunette lay mumbling to herself.

"Hey..." he said softly, "Hi Dom." she giggled, her eyes were hazy but she knew it was him from the voice, her left wrist in a cast resting on her stomach, "I got a cast." she giggled raising her covered wrist, "I know, how are you feeling?" he said pulling a chair and sitting next to her, "I'm great." she laughed before looking down to her arms and tears beginning to pool in her eyes, "My 'mom' is back.... we fought..." she whispered, "She did that to your face?" the older man inquired and she looks away, Dom took this as a signal not to mention it and dropped it, "So how do you think Mia will react when she see's you all banged up?" he inquires, changing the subject, "She'll think you forced me to do something I didn't want to." she confessed smiling now a bit. "True." He laughed, Anna smiled brighter at his laugh.

Before the two knew it it was morning and the rising sun was shinning into the room, the post surgery anesthesia effect long gone but neither slept, Anna told the older man about her childhood, her father, how sometimes she missed being in London and spending time with her brothers and step mother and Dom told her about his childhood, his parents and his time in Lompoc and his driving passion, "We're a bit messed up..." she whispered looking at her lap, "Yeah, I think that's why you and Mia clicked so well." He agreed, she smiled at him just as a nurse knocked and opened the door, "Excuse me..." she started not expecting the duo to be awake.

"Please come in." Anna smiled, "I just came to check on your vitals and if everything is okay you can go home Miss. Simons." the nurse said smiling, Anna nodded and looked at Dom who had stood up and walked to the couch where his coat was, "Mia called a lot, Letty and Vince too." he said out loud, "Weren't they with you?" the nurse frowned, "No we're neighbours, after I fell I went to his house, he answered the door, we got in my car and shortly after I passed out, we crashed and he brought me here. Everyone else was asleep." Anna said smiling at the nurse, a smile Dom saw the woman believe.

"Well alright, everything seems fine. You're fine to go." The nurse smiled and walked away, "Great, let's go face the little monster." Anna teased throwing her legs over the bed, "Easy tiger, we don't want you to break anything else." Dom said grabbing his coat and rushing to her side, "Easy Toretto I'm not made of glass." she teased him, getting up and taking a few wobbly steps, "I know that but I'd rather not have Mia kill me more than she already is." he grumbled as he helped her slip into her tennis shoes, "She won't kill you. I'll make sure of that?" the brunette young adult said smiling at him.

He hummed and helped her walk to the reception where she paid and checked herself out allowing the two to make their way to the car, "Damn, my baby's ruined...." Anna muttered sadly as she sat in the passengers seat, "Yeah but we're alive." he teased her, "Yeah I know, maybe we should stop to buy something for breakfast so she'll be less mad." Anna said rubbing her chin with her good hand, "Alright, let's go." Dom said before driving off.
