Maden
I stretched my arms and yawned. Being in bed for the past two days had made me lethargic. Cracking my knuckles, I stood up from the bed and stared at my reflection in the mirror.
My black hair looked extremely frizzy, but thanks to the two day rest, my dark circles had disappeared. I shoved my feet in the bathroom slippers and followed my morning routine- deciding whether to take a hot shower or a cold one. Wanting to strip all the laziness away because I had to go back to school today, I decided to go for a cold one.
Mother had resumed work from which she took leave because I was hurt and Dad was probably at one of the workshops, so the house was pretty much empty, well, except for Hannah.
"Good morning, Hannah." I strolled in the kitchen with my school bag slung across my shoulder and filled a glass of water. "What do we have for breakfast this morning?" I asked while taking a sip.
"Madam ordered me to make cinnamon rolls. I can make you scrambled eggs as well." Hannah smiled, as she washed her hands in the sink.
"Oh! That's fine. Thank you." I grabbed a plate from the cabinet and placed two cinnamon rolls on it.
"How is your head feeling, Sylvia?" Hannah asked, breaking an egg on the pan.
"It feels as good as new." I exited the kitchen and sat on the dinning table right in front of it. "It didn't hurt at all after Tuesday. There was no need for me to take a leave yesterday."
Hannah placed a plate of scrambled eggs on the table and took a seat in front of me. "Madam was worried about you. She said that you should take rest."
I nodded at her and took a bite out of the roll. Twelfth grade was turning out to be annoying from the start. Though the school has always been annoying but I have a feeling that the senior year would be a pain in the ass.
"Ugh! The senior year has barely started, why am I attracting so much trouble?"
Hannah laughed. "Oh! Don't worry, you'll be able to get through just fine."
"I hope so too."
"But what about the boy who hit you?"
I choked on the cinnamon roll just at the mention of that douche bag. Hannah had to hand me a glass of water before I passed out from asphyxiation. "What about him?"
"Well, he must've been expelled."
I let out a sarcastic laugh. Expelled? Alejandro Bautista? He can even get away with murder, but Hannah didn't need to know that.
"He won't have to go through any of that. He is related to an influential family." I said.
"What? You have an influential family too. How can someone..."
