//Ok, I couldn't resist posting another one early. I'll be busy for the next month so it probably won't happen again for a while. But I still will be posting once a week. If I don't, I'm probably dead.

"Red or black shirt?" I ask holding up shirts for Angie. I have no sense when it comes to clothes, and Angie is the best besides Momma for color matching.

She scrunches up her face as she says, "Red".

I put on my clothes to get ready for the party. John's daughter is turning 2 today, so we are heading over to his house. As I hear Angie scream,"IM READY!!!!", I slip on my shoes and head to the living room. To my surprise, John is already here talking to my Momma and Dad. They quickly turn and stop talking as I come into the room.

"Hi Phillip" says John

I see Alex Jr, 3 months old playing on the floor.

"Hey what's going on?" Angie says

"Philip, Angie, we want to talk to you both in private about something."

John looks around awkwardly as he says" Well I'll just leave you to it!" A bit louder than normal.

John steps into the kitchen as Angie and I go into the master bedroom. Momma sits in the swivel chair, as Dad sits on the bed across from her. What's going on? What did I do? Dad is looking at the floor, as Momma and I look at each other.

"This has nothing to do with you both, or the baby." Momma says

"What's happening?" Angie says with a clearly confused tone.

"Your Mom and I have been disagreeing lately, and we just need some time to be separated." Says Dad

Angie and I say nothing. It's just silence as we take turns looking at each other and our shoes. I just stand thinking about what could have caused this. I've never heard them argue, besides about who is gonna cook dinner. Something else is going on.

I looked in my Dad's eyes as I said,"So... you are getting a divorce then?"

"I can't say for certain right now, honey. We just need to be apart for a while." Momma said reassuringly.

"I'll be staying at Aunt Peggy's house for now." Says Dad.

A silent tear goes down my face as Angie burst into tears and hugs Dad. I just look at Momma. I have a quiet intuition that he isn't coming back.
