Chapter 3

15th july... - A memorable day in both zain and aditi's life..On this day they will get engaged to each other, a day when they will take another step closer towards being addressed as mr.and mrs imam, a day when their love for each other will get a new identity.. - un dono ke pyaar ko ek nayi pankh milne wale the us din.
Aditi was sitting in her room munching a chocolate bar..That's what she does when she fails to make a choice whether to be nervous or to be excited.It was her engagement day- the day when she could proudly address him as "her zain", her fiancee but still an unknown fear was fighting to take dominance in her heart..Just then her eyes caught notice of the beautiful photo frame kept on the drawer..It was a photo of him and her - he kissing her cheek and she blushing as usual. This photo was enough to kill all the mixed emotions running inside her..She found a solace, a peace that she was craving for..That rectangular photo frame was her medicine....
As she was busy admiring the photo somebody knocked at the door--"yes" said aditi..
" hey aduu!!its me poonam.."
Aditi got up from her place and opened the door-" hey punnu..kaisi ho yaar? Tu surat se kab aayi? Zain bol raha tha ki sanjay ne bola ki tum log nahi aa paoge aur phir ese achanak? (hey punnu..how are u friend? When did you return from surat? Zain told me that u and sanjay will be unable to attend the party?), aditi threw all the question on her face as if she was an investigator questioning the suspect..
Poonam(P):"calm down adi..yaar tu sas le le pehele.ek ek karke main sare question ka jawab dunga par pehele andar toh ane de"( calm down adi..first u breathe..i will answer all your questions one by one but first let me come inside)
A:" o sorry yaar.. Aa ja..kuch lega tu.. Ruk tu andar baith mai kitchen se kuch leke aati hu." ( sorry friend..u sit here nd wait.. I will bring something for u from the kitchen).
P:" no adi kuch nahi chahiye...Aur idhar aake baith tu....mujhe aj tujhse dher sari baate karni hai.." ( poonam made her sit on the bed and held her hand).She continued " adi mein tere liye aur zain ke liye bohot khush hu..Tujhe akhir kar apna prince charming mil hi gaya.Zain bohot achha ladka hai adi, woh tujhse bohot pyaar karta hain, tera bohot khyal rakhega woh..
Zain woh ladka hai jo tujhe woh sab kuch dega jo tu deserve karti hain.. Aj tujhe main ek dost ki nate kuch kehena chahiti hu,, adi tujhe jab bhi meri zarurat paregi na main humesha teri saath dungi.Yeh ek vaada hai dost ka dost se."(adi i am very happy for u and zain. U atlast got your prince charming.Zain is a very nice guy adi..he loves u very much and he will take care of you..Zain is that boy who will give you everything that you deserve adi...Today being a friend i want to say you something,, whenever in life you need me i will always be there for you and will always support you .It's a promise from one friend to another friend.)
Aditi's eyes brimmed with tears and she hugged poonam.. She couldn't thank almighty enough for such friends like family who will always support her in her thick and thin.
A:" Punnu main aj kitni lucky feel kar rahi hu ki mujhe tujh jaisa dost mila..Bohot kam log hote hain jinhe itni pyaari dost milte hain.. Nd i m one of those.."(punnu i m feeling so lucky today that i got such a friend like you.There are very few people who are lucky enough to get such lovely friends nd i m one of those)
Zain's bhabi entered the room in a haste..
Z.B.-"sorry adi.. Disturb kar diya tum dono ko par ammi ne bola tumhe ready hona hai.. Muhrat sham ko hai aur jada time bhi nahi bacha."( sorry adi for disturbing you both but ammi told you to get ready as not much time is left)
A:" ji bhabi..main ready ho jati hu" (ok babhi.I will soon get ready)
P: "adi main ab nikalti hu..Main itni excited thi ki directly airport se aa gayi yaha tujhse milne. Toh abhi mujhe ghar jana hoga..Shaam ko main aur sanjay directly venue pae milenge tujhe..Vese zain nahi dikha? (adi i think its time for me to leave.I was so excited that i directly came from airport to meet you..So i hbe to go now..Me nd sanjay will meet you in the evening at the venue.By the way where is zain?)
A:" Don't know yaar..Subeh se lapata hai..Sara kam akela supervise kar raha hain..Abhi ne kitni bar bola ki tu ja tera engagement hai aaj. Infact maine kitni baar bola atleast mujhe toh kuch karne de..Ulta mujhe daat diya aur kaha ki tujhe kuch karne ki zarurat nahi hai. Tu sirf aur sirf rest kar."(don't know yaar. He is missing since morning.He took the entire responsibilty of supervising the arrangements.Abhi told many times that he will handle everything.. Infact i also told him to allow me share his responsibilty but in return he scolded me nd told me to only rest.)
Poonam teased her :" akhir hone wale biwi ko kam kaise karwa sakta hain..Pyaar jo karta hai itna" and she started laughing..Bhabi also joined her..
Aditi smiled shyly and her cheeks turned red..Poonam bade her goodbye nd left..Zain's bhabi hepled adi to get ready..She was looking ravishingly beautiful.. It was hard to shift gaze from her..
Z.B.:" kitni pyaari lag rahi ho adi..aj toh zain apne apko control nahi kar paiga..kahi behosh na hojaye meri devar ji.."( How beautiful u are looking adi..I am sure today zain will be unable to control himself and there are chances that he might faint.")
In the meantime aditi's mom nd zain's ammi entered the room..
A.M.-"adi bachha kitni pyaari lag rahi hai...bilkul doll jaisi..kahi meri bachhi ko meri nazar na lag jai.Kaala teeka laga deti hu."
Z.M.-" Behenji apki bachhi ab humari bhi bachhi hai..Aur dekho toh kitni khubsurat lag rahi hai..Mashallah kisiki nazar na lage."

Aditi got emotional and hugged her mothers..She wondered what deeds has she done in her past births that she has been blessed with two mothers who loved her unconditionally..
Their moment was broken by apu(adi's sis) who came in the room with inaya.
Apu:" di agar ap ready ho gaye ho toh chale..late ho rahe hain..jiju intezzar kar rahe hain bahar aapka..."
Z.B.-"ha chalte hain.waise bhi kisiko bari jaldi hai apni wali ko dekhne ki..Pata nahi kya hal hoga janab ka."
Zain's bhabi and apu took adi outside followed by the others..
