"Guys, something's wrong with Taehyung."

It's been an entire week since the incident at the cafe. It's been a week since Jeongguk and Namjoon ran into Taehyung, it's been a week since Taehyung grabbed Jeongguk's small frame with no hesitation, and roughly pushed him to the nearest wall out of the older's way so Taehyung could walk away, fuming.

It's been a week since Jeongguk had a breakdown right there in that moment, his past traumas flashing right before his eyes once again. It's been a week since Namjoon helped Jeongguk back to the dorms, and it's been a week since Namjoon explained to their friends what happened. A week since Jin, Namjoon, and even Yoongi, have spent every day since then looking all around the campus for Taehyung to see what the fuck was going on.

It's been a week since Jeongguk has been blaming himself for Taehyung's sudden absence. 

For a week, every single day for a week, Jeongguk has refused to leave his bed when his friends were present. For a week, Jeongguk has been questioning everything he could have done wrong to make Taehyung want to leave him.

He left me because I was never enough for him.

I should have never told Jin and Namjoon about what was going on between us.

Taehyung  probably found out that I told them.

He's never going to want to see me ever again.

I promised him I would keep what we had a secret. Jeongguk cried harder. I should have never broken the promise.

It's all my fault.

"I don't understand why Jeongguk's acting this way, guys," Youngjae sadly whispered to Jin and Namjoon as he sat down at their regular lunch table in the outside cafeteria. All three of the boys eyed the two empty seats across from them. Namjoon sighed, looking down at the floor until focusing his eyes back up to to make eye contact with Jin.

Youngjae was the only one in their friend group that didn't know about Jeongguk and Taehyung's "friends with benefits with sudden feelings that we can't publicly act on" fiasco.

"I mean, aren't Jeongguk and Taehyung friends?" Youngjae went on, picking at his mozzarella sticks, "friends fight all the time. I know Taehyung shouldn't have acted violently on Jeongguk, but..."

"But?" Jin asked, breaking eye contact with Namjoon and sighing. He looked at Youngjae, expression unreadable. "But what?

"But I still don't know why Jeongguk's been sulking like he was just broken up with."

I mean he might as well had been, Namjoon and Jin both thought to themselves quietly. 

"Youngjae..." Namjoon started, adjusting his position in the slightly uncomfortable lunch table's chair, lowering his voice so they wouldn't be overheard by anyone just in case. Namjoon looked at Youngjae and slightly softened his voice. "You do remember what happened a few years ago... with Jeongguk's family?"
