The next morning was the most beautiful thing I had seen in a while. It had just rained the night before, with heavy winds and cracks of lightning and thunder that shook the floor. Pictures on the wall had rattled and two fell off their hooks. But the morning had brought a totally different mood. Big layered clouds that had already came by and were on their way out with a colorful rainbow striking through them.
"Beautiful! I haven't seen a rainbow like this one in a while." Said Ellie.
It was true, it hadn't rained in Idaho for a while and now, the storm recovered all of the dried out plants into blossomed colorful leaves and petals.
"Good morning baby, how'd you sleep with the storm last night?" Asked mom.
Ellie startled at her mom, she thought she had been alone.
"I slept just fine last night, what about you?" I said back.
She gave me a familiar look that means she didn't sleep too well, she had been pondering over the thought of her new job. She was going in for her first day today.
"I'm just a little nervous about my interview at work today." She finally said.
I gave her a hug.
"Your gonna do great mom, just like you always do." I told her.
"Your right, no need to sweat over it now. Besides, Amy just told me she wants you to come over A.S.A.P to meet a new horse they just got! You up for it?" Mom asked.
I could tell she had a lot of hope in her eyes that I would say yes since it had been a while since I had seen Amy.
"Of course I'm up for it, after all, there is a horse involved!" I replied.
"Yay! There's my sweet sweet daughter. I have finally found her and brought her back!" She said in a humorous way.
We both laughed.
"You're gonna have a great time honey." She told me.
I gave a quick smile, I hoped she was right.
