Walter wasn't bad looking him self. He was very tall, a good 6.3. His eyes were black, the darkest black Faith ever saw. And with his cream color skin, his eyes would look even darker. His nose was a bit bent to the left, a birth mark as some would call it. He contemplated having a surgery to get it fixed, but he never liked the idea of a surgery. The idea of being put under medication, to make your body completely helpless, letting a total stranger have complete power over you. Something about it was horrifying for Walter, even if he had the money to afford the best plastic surgery, he could never really get himself to make an appointment, or even call the office.
"What are you thinking about?" Faith asked still sitting on his desk, looking at him as he lost himself in his thoughts, this wasn't unusual at all. As Walter snapped out of it, he looks up at her and shacks his head. "Just things."
"Well what things?"
"Just things." he laughs. "Things I plan to do, for the business."
"Oh business things. Since when do you get worried about that?"
"I'm always worried, I just forget about it when I'm with you"
"Charmed." She giggles pushing her hair aside. "Are things really going that bad?"
Walters business what complicated, just as many people, he was put in by force, he didn't mine of course, just in this work, he could give and have all the things a normal 27-year old could never have, maybe even in a lifetime. He could flatter Faith with all the things she needed and wanted. Although he knew she would still love him with the bare minimum, he still liked to surprise her with golden earrings and a hundred dollar dresses, he wanted to give her the life of a princess.
John was his fathers name, he never knew how, but he made a million dollar business on the sell of cocaine and ETORPHINE HYDROCHLORIDE, he never told him how he started, he just recruited him when he was 16. He became his next man, his disciple, he would teach him everything he needed to know. Where he got the cargo, when he sold it, how to sell it, methods to hide and to disguise names of drugs, places, location, and people working with them. He believed that his business, that his job and further sons job had nothing to be ashamed about. He didn't see it as a crime, he saw it as another business, as another job in the world, such as grocery stores, or home delivery. Many would say otherwise, many called him crazy, because the sole purpose of buying drugs is for a drug addition, and by consequence death. But in the mind of John, his actions were justified, he was just performing a job he chooses.
Their relationship was different, they would socialize every day, for years, but it was never a father son relationship, the connection of love that most fathers and sons have, wasn't in them. Walter would always hold respect for John, and John would always hold some respect as well, but it was the relationship of two people at work, communication and team work, but no further connection or bond with.
At the age of 22 Walters father John died in a work mission he had, hardly any detail about it. The reason of his death was just known by Walter and a few people in the same position as Walter. Many wanted to know more, of course losing the boss of a million dollar empire was something that would bring up questions.
Walter spared questions, even if their relationship was with work ethic, losing his father was a hard hit for him. He was his rock, his leader, the man that gave him power and responsibilities, and showed him a balance between the two.
Walter as an attempted to stop all questions and conspiracies about his father's death, he simply wrote a letter stating that his father was a great man, killed trying to change things that were wrong in his business, trying to change things that were wrong in the world, trying to make a difference. Using the power he owned to do so, but killed by a villain, a villain known as injustice. Killed by villain known as traitors.
The only person that knew about his fathers' death, besides his work partners was Faith, he trusted her with everything.
"Just trying to finish what my father started." A deep silence filled the room, Faith knew that when it was something about John, it was serious.
"Your father sounded like a great man you know." Faith tries to easy up the deep feeling in the room now, by complementing. No one ever gets hurt, offended or sad with a complement
"Yeah, he was." He looked away, remembering him in the distance, how he was, how he looked, regretting he didn't have pictures of him, except one. A picture that was taken without him knowing, an old black and white Polaroid picture. The picture contacted his father, him and 4 other collies, 3 which betrayed him. He didn't look at the picture that much. "Those bastards." He whispers out into the air, if it wasn't for them, he would still be alive.
"Bastards?"
"The ones who betrayed my father."
Only in 2 occasion Faith saw the picture of his father and 5 men with him, one of them, of course was Walter, a bit skinny then he is now, he was 22 at the time. Another was a guy that called him self Prince, he was Walters second, he was a loyal friend that was with him since the age of 12. Assisting to the same school as him. Almost every day they would get together and talk about the business, how much was selling and where they were going to get their next cargo. Except when he would get sent out of the country to expand this customer, wanting to make this business the largest drug trading company ever known, without no one know about it.
Prince was a little shorter than Walter, with peculiar skin color, he was tan, but impossible to know if he was Mexican, Indian or African. And with light bright green eyes, and dark brown hair, it was hard to know exactly what race he was. Everytime someone would ask him he would say a different race. The truth was, not even prince knew exactly, his mom was part Mexican form what he knew, but that was it. He never knew what other race she was or what race his dad was. He never knew him, and was separate by his mom at 12 years, due to a drug addict his mom had, and put in an orphanage with his just born baby brother Michael, who was born with dorm syndrome, staying there until he escapes at age 15, taking his brother with him.
Being so young, left alone, and with a brother to protect, he accepted right away Walters dad's offer at 16, just when Walter was admitted too. All he wanted to do at the time was give him and his brother a place to live, and food 2 times a day, nothing more. But thanks to John, he lived the rich life, getting all the medication, and equipment, doctors, and food for his brother. He loved him like a son, his only family left.
The other 3 were people that were killed in the betray of his father, Walter, would say nothing more than that, no name, no personality, no position, nothing. Although that didn't stop Faith's mind for wondering. One looked tall, almost like Walter, even if Walter was the tallest in the room, with spiky hair, and the other was as tall as prince, with curly hair, not showing much of his face, and the other was completely turn back.
Even if it gave faith curiosity, she learned to hate the people in the picture. They stole Walters dad. They killed him trying to make things right, a perfect example of people not letting other people do good in the world, another shame of humanity.
