"Daddy, Daddy," my little voice screamed, with a hand over my mouth my mother looked at me with panic in her eyes. "Shhh," she placed her other hand on the side of my cheeks. "Now baby, daddy is just talking with the nice gentlemens downstairs don't worry," she tried to feed some bullshit lie to my 9 year self. I know damn well why those men where downstairs. My mother and I were currently hiding in our panic/emergency room daddy had ask some men to build in our mini mansion. "Mommy I'm scared," I cried. Looking up at my mother she tried to hold her composer but hurt was clear in her beautiful brown pupils. "I know baby, I know," she pulled me close. Suddenly there was a lot of rumbling going on downstairs. 'BOOM BOOM' shots were let off. I couldn't help myself. Screaming out loud my mother covered my mouth again. Loud foot steps could be heard coming upstairs. "Kashy open the door it's me," my father voice could be heard. My mother quickly rush to the door and open it. "Oh my God. Darnell you got shot," Mommy quickly rush to his aid. "Am good shawty..here take this," Daddy handed here a Glock-17, "Come on" he grabbed me up in his arms and then started to run with  my mother following. We quickly made our way down the stairs, then through the back door of the kitchen. Our back yard was big, it was like a huge football field with a huge fence that you could climb over. 'BOOM BOOM' shots started to fire at us my, my mother was ahead of me and my father. Screaming and not knowing how to process what's going on i started to cry. My father started to run in a zig zag motion to avoid getting shot or worse getting me shot, it was working until the men started to ran after us. Letting shots go Daddy little running method wasn't working, he fell to the ground with me in his hand then screamed to my get my mother's attention "Charmaine grab Kashy". Mommy turned around in time to ran back to us and grab me up, I looked back to see the man that shot my father a mile away I quickly looked at my father seeing him smile and gave me a little nod. My mother began to cry while running as fast as she could shots were fired but not at us, staring in the direction were I heard it, I saw three men still shooting at my father's dead body. "Listen to me baby, this is what mommy want you to do for me, your going to climb over this fence and run all the way to our nice neighbors house okay sweetie..can you do that for mommy??" My mother said as we reached the fence. Tears were flowing down my face by now. I nodded quickly, my mother gave me a big kiss and a 'I love you', she then boosted me up to the fence so that I could get over it quickly. At this moment I knew I had lost both of my parents and that shattered me. I made my way over the fence and took off crying. I know what my mother was doing, Daddy would always prepare us for this moment. Sick? yes but it was all about survival. My mother was going to trigger off a bomb my father planted on our land in case we would end up like this but them dying was not apart of the plan. 'BOOM BLAST' a huge explosion frightened me, I looked around to see my house erupted in pieces. Being so scared I ran all the way to my neighbors house.
