Prologue
I live in a horrible orphanage. On the west side of Coda X, one of the last remaining cities of North America. I'm almost 13, and my name is Kathy Redbird. I have practically no chance of getting adopted. My one and only friend, Anna and I are sick and tired of this place. We plan to run away tonight.
"I have all the things packed in our back packs that we need." I told her.
"Are you sure we should be doing this?" Anna said worriedly.
I looked around the broken down orphanage and nodded my head. "I just wish we could take everyone with us."
We pretended to be sleeping when the head mistress, Aglaeca, checked on all of the kids. When she finally got settled in and watched soap operas Anna and I snuck into the kitchen and got some food. We finally left at around 11:00 P.M.

Ok! I know it's short but I'm going to delete this once I get Ch. 1 ready. I'll put the Prologue and Ch. 1 together.
