So in this story, there are many dimensions and different outcomes can happen in each one, each one being real. One may be 2 seconds apart and others years apart. In the current dimension, we are focusing on Yoongi misses his chance with Namjoon not being able too to go back and fix, he sends a letter out to an unknown dangerous sea, that has been rumored to connect dimensions. Someone along the way finds the letter and sends it out to the address being a different dimension Yoongi that hasn't made the mistake. Our main Yoongi sends a list to New Yoongi on how to change his future. New Yoongi follows him resulting in a good ending. Our Yoongi wakes up in tears feeling like he succeeded somehow, knowing it worked. But also knowing he can never be happy, but at least another version of him is.
