Jelly Bean

"I know who you are...... Marina Ida..." was the last sentence Ambur had said to Marina, the only person who tried to comfort her so far.
Ambur walked out of their studio, having to duck so she didn't hit her head on the doorway. She walked toward the tower that holds turf wars when something below her caught her eye. A little bobtail squid was trying to get her attention.
"Um...yes?" Came Ambur's muffled voice.
"You look cool! You're going in there to play turf right?" Said the little squid
"Uh yeah I think so..." Ambur replied
"If you walk in there by yourself you'll get a random team. You should be with us!" She exclaimed
Ambur looked at the squid and then kept walking. " Hey!" Said the bobtail squid who had latched onto her leg.
"You can't refuse my offer ..... Titan!" Squealed the girl
"Maybe I can, Shortstack." Replied Ambur
"Geez don't be such a party pooper, Titan! Turf is supposed to be fun! Maybe you could use some of that!" The squid said
"Hmmm okay then, Shortcake. You got yourself a teammate." Ambur said to her.
"Aw yeah! Hey! Luna! Kami! Meet our fourth member! uhhh....." she paused
"Name's Ambur. Thanks for the invite shortcake." Ambur cut in.
"Woo! Let's go play turf you guys! Also the name is Jelly Bean, Titan, not shortcake."
"Haha. I think shortcake fits ya better." Ambur giggled
( After a game of turf war )
"Hey, Titan, what kinda weapon you got there?" Jelly Bean asked
"It's called the heavy splatling replica. Octo-Tech." Replied Ambur
"We need to get you a new weapon, Titan." Jelly Bean said to her
"I don't think I have enough money to get anything like that..." Ambur said
"Don't sweat it, Titan! I gotcha covered!" Jelly Bean told Ambur
When Luna and Kami said their goodbyes, Jelly Bean and Ambur were alone together. Jelly Bean brought Ambur to Sheldon's weapon shop to get her a new splatling. Jelly Bean ended up surprising her with the heavy splatling deco that Ambur ended up loving. Later, Ambur wanted to give her something in return, so they went to Sean's food truck and got some shawaffles. Ambur didn't know where she was going to go after their time together ended.
"Where ya goin after this, Titan?" Jelly Bean asked
" I don't know," replied Ambur " All I know is I have no apartment to stay in."
"Hey! Crazy idea! How about you crash with me for a while, Titan? It'll be great!" Jelly Bean said
" Are you sure? All I have to do is pay rent?"
"Heck yeah dude! Only rent. I have a spare room for you, too!" Jelly Bean replied.
At the end of their conversation, the stars were out shining above them.
"Hey, Shortstack, where's your house?" Ambur asked as Jelly Bean was falling asleep. Jelly bean gave Ambur her address as she fell asleep on the table. Ambur picked her up and carried her to the train. She set Jelly Bean in her lap, supporting her head as she did so. Once she got to her new stop, she carried jelly bean all the way to the apartment where she opened all of the doors until she found Jelly Bean's room and set her in her bed where she put her under the covers and turned off the light.
"Goodni-" Ambur started to say before her arm was grabbed by a small, but very strong hand.
" I don't want to be alone again..." said Jelly Bean, who was actually still sleeping.
Jelly Bean pulled Ambur into her bed their noses less that an inch apart. Ambur went along with it and got into her bed. Jelly Bean snuggled closer to Ambur, and out of instinct, Ambur pulled her closer, as if comforting the closest friend she had in the facility. She drifted off into sleep, only to be confronted with something that's haunted her for a long time...
