Rocky's POV:

All week, Ell and I were doing normal things and still being our usual selves, but we're still dating. It's honestly going pretty good.

We haven't kissed since that first night, but I didn't mind. Just calling him my boyfriend was fun.

I squeezed Ratliff's hand as we walked into the interview. Today is the day we announce our relationship to the world. "R5!" We could hear the teenage screams filling the room.

"Thank you, we're happy to be here," Riker was flirting ever so carefully. Typical Riker.

"Now first up, we're taking twitter questions. Each of. you have to answer them, okay?"

We all nodded from our seats. "Okay," Ross said.

"What's your favorite fruit?" She asked.

"Strawberry," Ross and Rydel said and the same time. Everyone started to laugh as we choked out or answers.

So that's basically how the interview went, until the last question. "Alright, last question. Who's single?" Everyone but Ratliff and I raised our hands.

Rydel looked at me frantically shaking her head. I smiled and dismissed it, she sighed. She knew what we were about to do.

The audience shouted similar things along the same bottom line, "Who are you dating?!"

I took a deep breath and looked at my boyfriend, then back to the audience. "Ratliff."

Silence filled the room. I waited anxiously for their reaction.

Have you ever felt like your entire life was riding on the next three seconds? Like maybe waiting for your finals scores, or opening your college letter telling whether you got in or not.

Finally, a fan opened her big fat ugly mouth. "What the hell?! I didn't come to see faggots!" Soon the hateful comments rolled in. We let them for thirty seconds before I started to fake laugh, and really hard. Soon the rest of the band joined in.

"We're kidding! God no, I'm not gay. I swear," I said between fake painful laughs.

The interview wrapped up and we all got backstage, but I pulled Ratliff aside. He looked like he was about to cry. "Well that didn't work."

"No kidding," I laughed. I looked at him and sighed at what I was about to do. "I think we should break up."

He looked at me in complete and utter disbelief. "What? Why?"

"Because if they don't accept us, we can't hide forever. And then they'll know we lied, and I hate lying to people. So the only way not to make it a lie to make it true."

He shook his head fast as the tears were streaming down his face. "No, Rocky please stay with me, you can't do th-"

"I just did."

I turned around, leaving him behind and walking back to the bus, slipping my shades on. I dialed the only number I could think of-

Alexa.

And so began my normal life again.
