Clenched fists, frowned eyebrows, I held it in.

The fire that once burned had stopped burning.

Discarded like tiny pieces of dirt turned into dust,

Withered away just like the roses in the front yard were never cared for.

I understood,

at that very second,

He was hers and she was his.

I wish I never opened my eyes.

I wish I couldn't see.

I am nothing.
