Babe, are you free tomorrow? I want to introduce you to my parents and Kuya. Those words kept on bugging me since last night. Not because I don't want to meet them, but because I was too excited to formally know them. It's been awhile since I've done the meet the family thing, maybe because Billie was the only serious relationship that I had. After that, mostly were just flings.
"Hey." I came back to my senses when someone tapped my shoulder. "What's up?" She said as she took a sit.
"Thank you for coming. I'm sorry, wala akong ibang mahingian ng tulong." I said as I offered her the menu. We chose our order first and started the convo.
"Jho, I need your help." I said and gave her a small smile.
She laughed a little. "Is this about meet the family?" I nodded as a response. "Nabanggit nga saken ni Bea. First girlfriend mo ba sya?"
"No Jho, it's just that ngayon ko nalang ulit to gagawin. I just want to ask about her Mom, Dad and Kuya."
"About Kuya, he is a nice guy. You know naman na our families are close diba. So we treat each other as siblings. Hindi naman strict si Kuya, actually he's too excited pa nga magkaboyfriend si Bea." She said and sipped her iced tea.
"Si Mom naman, she is a very supportive and sweet mother. Sobrang bait nya kaya wala kang magiging problem sakanya. Just buy her some flowers, para dagdag points." I just gave her a small smile and signaled her to continue.
"And about Dad, mabait naman sya. Yun nga lang he is kinda strict. Be ready sa questions nya. And tip ko sayo, just be honest. Ayaw ni Dad sa sinungaling." I felt nervous sa sinabi ni Jho.
So we need to tell them on how we met and become official. Kinakabahan ako, baka magalit sila kung paano kami nagsimula. But I don't care, I'll do everything just to prove them that I am serious about their daughter.
Our order arrived and we started eating. Jho still gave me advices and background about their family members. She told me that she might be their at the dinner so she will help Bea and I explain our story. I am just thankful that Jho is a nice person, eventhough we just met once, she was more than willing to help me for her bestfriend.
Before Jho and I bid goodbyes, "Basta Thirdy, take good care of my bestfriend huh. Minsan lang mainlove yan. Just do everything to make her happy. Pag sinaktan mo sya, ay naku, I'll punch your face." She was acting like punching her palm.
"Yes, Jho. Maasahan mo ako jan. Anyway, thank you so much for the help." And I made beso to her.
I immediately went to the flower shop to order bouquet of red and white roses for Bea and her Mom. And to spirit and liquor store to buy Chivas Regal for her Dad and Moet and Chandon Imperial Ice for her Kuya.
After I gathered all the gifts for the family, I decided to go to my condo first and take a shower. I chose to wear a white short sleeves polo, black pants and a pair of black LV loafers, basic and simple for one of the biggest events of my life. I sprayed my Ralph Lauren Polo Blue and I'm good to go.
