5 Clichés that need to stop

I'm sorry, but i'm bored.

Here are some clichés

If people publish entire 50+ part books about annoying things on Wattpad, I can post at least a chapter on it!

Disclaimer!!!! : Not all romantic books on Wattpad are like this!!! I have read plenty of teen fics that I thoroughly enjoy, whether they are completely original and new, or they do contain the occasional cliché.

Shall we begin?

1. Every bit of conflict revolves around the girl and the guy is always the one to save/ take care of her.
relationships should be support and effort put in on BOTH SIDES. Believe it or not, guys have issues too. It wouldn't hurt to see her being supportive of him sometimes. Yes, most of the conflict will occur towards the MC, which is often the girl, but sometimes it's really just to much. Make your characters human.

2. The cliché where everyone is suddenly rich with no explanation.
Ex.
Average college girl to her best friend: "Happy bday girl! You're gift is the most expensive car I could find and also we're going to Paris!!!"

3. The Girl can be a complete jerk to the guy for no reason and he still chases after her.
If a guy in a story is awful and rude, the comments are always "omg what a dirtbag". But when the guy goes after the girl and the girl repeatedly turns him down and treats him like a trash for no reason, it's like "omg she is so me! Lol"
No matter your gender, if you continue to chase after someone who treats you like trash, they. Don't. Deserve. Your. Attention.

4. "Bad Boy"
How many rants does there need to be before people realize that this just isn't original and never will be? (Most of these stories will still have thousands of reads, though.)

5. The cliché where the guys is some perfect puddle of flawlessness with an amazing life and the girl has some god awful life and thinks she's ugly and needs the guy to "save her".
Yeah, basically what the title says.
Brace yourself for a cringe.
Example:
My name is Shylie Benner and both my parents died, i'm an orphan and i've been abused my whole life because i'm so ugly and my dog died this morning.
My bully Tiffany just tripped me at lunch and called me worthless. My food splashed like all over me! Sooper hoomilitating 😭😭!!!! I ran to the janitor's closet like the filth i am. Brock chased me and siad "Shylie wate!!!!" (this dialogue is a rant on it's own.)
He flipped his perfect black hair out of his flawless face. I admired his chiseled jawline and ocean blue orbs.
"Brock plz save me I hate myslf"
"That's okay bb I luv u, that's all u need. Self-luv is overrated. I won the lottery so let's go to Paris."

I'm sorry for that, I just really wanted to see what it was like to write one of those. 😂
