I'm sitting in the kitchen staring at the door, waiting for my wife to walk in. It's been 3 hours since i was given the news of going on the mission. All of my emotions swirled and shook my head violently. I went and threw up what I had eaten earlier for lunch, which was an egg salad sandwich. The smell was rich and powerful while the taste was bitter and sour. I couldn't bare the smell left in my nose so i brushed my teeth with what was left of the tooth paste. Finally i regained my composure and dressed in my best pair of blue jeans and button down shirt. Within all of this time, my wife never came home, nor did the kids. I started to worry and it was 7:46 PM. I only had 14 minutes to be at the pick up spot for the mission. I couldn't wait any longer, so i grabbed a piece of paper and wrote a letter to my wife and kids how much i loved them and how much they meant to me.
I stepped outside to try one last minute, but no sign of them. As i left, i dropped the letter of to a close family friend, Patrick. Patrick and i went way back to college in Washington State University. We helped each other pass some of the harder classes while goofing off in the easy ones. If we can only go back into these times I thought.
Finally Reached the roof of the building greeted by five others. They all glared at me for my difference from them. All of them wore some black opps military outfits with some advanced guns that were banned from public. "What are you doing up here?" The biggest man, about 6' 5" with really broad shoulders that looked like he can pull a tank, came up to me.
"Um.. th-the doctor, Dr. Phillips told me to be up here at this exact time.."
" We weren't told of any other people coming!" The small woman said while quickly drawing her gun up to my face. I wasn't used to woman pointing guns in my face, nobody in that matter. I can't speak or move... all i can do is tremble from fear.
"Stand down Collins." A man with blonde hair stepped forward. "You must be Mr. Hills. The Doc just called me and informed me of who you are." The woman slowly pointed the gun down while still holding the same facial expression as if she's gonna rip me to shreds. "Sorry for the scare mister, Collins was right though. If the doctor didn't call, your head wouldn't be part of your body anymore. HAHAHA!!" The man laughed with a certain tone telling me she would've actually shot me. "Don't worry your safe now. My name's Commander Smith. The one big one to your right is Weapon specialist Harvard, everyone calls him Biggy. The one over in the corner by himself is Franklin. He specializes with the sniper. He prefers to be alone so we don't mess with him. Out of all of us, he's had the most experience in the field. And this one you already know, her name's Capt. Collin." He leaned in and whispered, "I wouldn't let the tough girl act scare you too much, she's still a sensitive girly girl.Ha ha"
"I heard that." Collin scoffed and walked away.
I looked over and saw the last guy standing on the edge of the roof starring at the sky. "Who's that?"
"Oh sorry, that's the medic, Dr. Schultz. He's actually insane so I'd stay away from him for as much as possible. He's the main reason we try and NOT get hurt in the field. ha ha" I noticed Harvard looking grim and turned pale. "Are you alright?"
"Oh Biggy, He just had a bad experience with a knife in his leg in a jungle and he had to go through one of Schultz's surgeries."
Schultz turned around and looked directly in my eyes and smiled. He ran of the ledge right into me and jumped. I didn't have enough reaction time to move, he's so fast, and tackled me. "YA! We have a new member of the team!"
A loud noise shattered the winds around all of us, blowing violently against my face. I put my arm around my face and peeked through a crack to see what it was. A large helicopter shape aircraft hovered right above us. Schultz rolled over and jumped straight up and pointed. "She's here!!"
This wasn't a normal helicopter because it has three propellers on its side forming a triangle on top. Smith came over and helped me get up. Are you ready for the mission. I nodded and climbed the ladder thrown out of the side. I have to say, it was definitely harder than it looked in the movies when i was a kid. It took all of my muscles to hold onto the thin rails of the rope ladder.
