I was sitting in my room blaring my music through my headphones not giving a care about the world. I was trying to block out the yelling of my parents fighting about the stupidest things. I was staring out the window watching the huge storm of mind consuming water droplets hit the ground, as i sat in a daze watching the free rain.I felt my music stop and my phone vibrate. I had received a text message from an unknown number. The text message was a video, i hesitated at first but then decided to play it. The video was of a girl being beaten to death and screaming for help. I couldn't breath, then i saw my fathers face appear as he grabbed the girl by the neck and strangle her to death with out a single hesitation.
I woke up breathing heavily and sweat dripping down my whole body. I rolled over to check my alarm clock to see what time it was. " Shiz, I'm gonna be late for school!" I rolled off my bed face planting into the ground. I stood up groaning at the pain of my face. I walked to my closet picking out a sweatshirt that said okay? okay, a pair of sweatpants, black Uggs, and a beanie that said I'm famous. i grabbed my backpack and walked down stairs were i was greeted most lovingly by my high and drunk stepdad. " Where do you think your going Kaylee?" he said with a slur.
" Going where i always go to, school." i said in an annoyed tone. He suddenly stood up and charged towards me grabbing my neck." I am your father and you will respect me you understand that missy!" " Haha yeah you wish you were my real dad, you are just a lousy knock off my mom found on the streets when my real dad went to jail so why don't you back up Bill." i said trying to just get to school. Right as i was about to stand up and leave i felt a sharp pain to my mouth and then the same pain to my eye. I was not about to cry because i knew that that would show my weakness and i sure as hell wasn't going to prove him that. I walked out the door standing tall like those blows didn't even phase me, and from that i walked in the cold winter to school.
As i got to school i kinda wished i stayed home because i was receiving dirty looks from every one, even the losers. Some coward away and then there were those other few who flung their harsh words out of their mouths and into my head. But at least i wasn't being beat up by anybody. as i walked into through the huge front doors of my school people were looking me in the eye and i couldn't figure out why. Then it hit me like Bill did this morning.
My face was already starting to bruise. I tried to keep my face down afraid of what hormonal teenagers usually do but my plan was an attempted fail." Hey freak what happened to your face did your dad beat you half to death?" an annoying jock said. " My dad would never hurt me and i have you know that your life may be all money and girls but i can make your life a living hell just as mine is now!" i yelled at him. " Well your dad may not hurt you but he sure does like to clean the guts out of girls you knew." Just as he said that i broke i swung a punch right to his face trying not to hurt my hand which once again failed. He fell to the ground and then i kicked him leaving behind" Don't you ever talk about my dad like that again, that judge and jury are stupid and want the money so go tell your friends something about me but do not bring him into it!"
And with that i walked into the girls bathroom looking at my worthless pathetic self in the mirror. Then i noticed my hand was bleeding, but i seriously didn't care and i just leaned against the wall sliding down to the worn out scuzzy floors and let me tears be free like the rain.
