Heels clicking soundly, Cassie made her way to the elevator with her head held high. Ito ang unang araw niya sa trabaho. No scratch that. Ito ang unang araw niyang magtrabaho. Eight pa ang pasok niya at six thirty pa lang ng umaga. She's that excited to work. It's her first time afterall. She's Cassandra Catalina Amanda Saavedra Romano, a heiress of the Saavedra -Romano clan. With that saying, hindi niya kailangan magtrabaho, but she wanted to, and what Cassie want, Cassie get.

Habang patungo sa elevator ay napansin niya na manaka naka siyang sinsulyapan ng mga taong nadadaanan. She resisted frowning. Frowning can cause wrinkles. May mali ba sa itsura niya? The last she checked herself in the mirror, she looked good. She's wearing a Givenchy white office blouse and pants and a matching white blazer. Tinernuhan niya ito ng five inches gold Louboutin strapped on stiletto. Wala siya masyadong suot na alahas. Isang white gold collared style necklace, a pair of pearl earrings and her beloved watch from her mother lang ang mga accessories na suot niya. Very business-like.

Or maybe she looked too plain? Kaya ba siya pinagtitinginan ng mga tao? Did she downplayed her looks too much? Nah! She knew she looks good. Cassandra catalina Amanda Saavedra Romano never doubted herself.

May iilang tao na nag-aabang sa elevator. Kanina pa niya napapansin na kahit masyado pang maaga ay madami ng tao. Early birds. Well, hindi na nakakapagtaka iyon. Delmar Tech is on the top of this industry. And its president is rumoured to be hard and tough as its company's name. And very strict.

Pero hindi niya nagamit ang natapos na kurso dahil hindi niya naman kailangan magtrabaho. After graduating from college, she went into a vacation mode, that lasted years. So at 26 of age, she is totally inexperienced.

Pero nag-iba na ang ihip ng hangin. Aside from being bored of her luxurious living, she wanted to emerse herself in the business world before starting her own business. To learn. Her father owned a company, pero ayaw niya doon. He doted on her. As well as her brothers. Ni hindi nga siya pinapadapuan ng mga ito ng lamok. They will just treat her like the princess that she is. They will spoil her rotten. And she believed that great learnings come from real experiences. She wanted the real and best experience so she targeted the Delmar Tech- the leading company in their country specializing in electronics and technology. A family-owned empire like theirs. And there is so much she can learn from being beside the big boss himself. It was not out of luck that she conveniently got the job. Not connections either. Pure talent.

Pinigilan ni Cassie ang mapangiwi ng makita ang kabuuan ng opisina ng presidente. O opisina niya dahil may isa pang pinto doon na siyang mismong opisina ng boss. Nakita na niya ito noon ng i-tour siya ni Ella or Elizabeth. The other assistant. Tatlo silang assistant ng boss. Needy much. Siya, Si Ella, at isa pa na hindi pa niya nami-meet dahil ito kuno ang buntot ng boss niya na laging kasama saan man ito pumunta.

Ang opisina nilang tatlo ay sa nasa  labas ng mismong opisina ng boss. Kanila ang buong palapag. Sa boss nya pala. Isa sa magkabilang sulok, at ang pwesto ni Ella ay bandang nasa unahan dahil ito ang nagsisilbing receptionist ng 'office of the CEO'. It was an open space. They can see what the three of them is doing. It is spacious and airy. Yeah it's classy, state of the art modern, blah blah blah...but over-the-top-boring. She almost like it if not disgustingly boring. Black chairs, black tables, gray floors.., gray ceiling, the white walls are nice though. Wala na ba itong alam na kulay maliban sa itim at abo? Fifty shades of black and gray perhaps.
