5:00, like Colby said came early. My mom rewashed Colby's clothes then left them on my father's dresser.

As for me I wanted to dress a little different today. Different from all the black and grey I always wore.

I held up multiple colored dresses and skirts that my mom bought me. Of course I never wore them.

"I think that one looks beautiful." Colby's voice boomed.

I jumped before turning around, "Y-you scared me."

"But this one," he held up a long sleeved yellow skater dress. "Would look absolutely stunning."

"Are you sure?"

"Here let me help." He put the dress down then searched around my room.

He pulled out a pair of yellow wedges, my dad's silver heart necklace, and a pair of diamond earrings.

"Would I look prettier if I curled my hair?"

"You look beautiful no matter what. You could wear sweatpants and a sweatshirt and I'd drool over you just the same." He flashed his million dollar smile.

"T-thanks."

I changed into the dress and other accessories along with it. I curled the ends of my hair for a little more body then applied a bit of pink lip gloss to my lips.

Colby entered my room again and stared at me with wide eyes. I giggled quietly then looked away.

"You look amazing my flower." He said.

"Thank you, um..we may not have time to eat so..."

"It's fine we can stop at Dunkin donuts before school." He intertwined our fingers before going downstairs.

I yelled to my mom that we were heading out. She gave us an okay and wished us a good day.

The school was only a 10 minute walk, stopping to get food would take about 5 or more.

So we'd probably be a few minutes late getting to class but that's okay. Once at the Dunkin Donuts, I ordered a turkey sausage sandwich and a small iced coffee.

He ordered the same thing and a 15 count box of glazed munchkins for us to share.

As expected we were a few minutes late to Mr.G's class. He was cool about it and didn't give us too much of a scolding.

We took our seats then ate as the lesson continued. Eyes were on us and even a few murmurs went around the room.

"Look at that beauty and the beast. Guess which one is the beast." Selena snickered.

Colby slammed down his coffee and gave her a evil glare. I only sat quietly and looked at my feet.

"He could've found a better looking girl." One of her friend's said.

"You're way prettier than she is Lena (Selena)." Another one said.

"I don't know why he's hanging with trash." Selena said.

Something in me erupted, I got up and stood in front of her.

"Firstly you're not that good looking sweetheart. A nose job wouldn't hurt you as much as your ego, your hair is flat as your ass and your lips are as thin as these bullshit worksheets we have to do. Say another thing and I'll gladly straighten your fucked up teeth. Got it?" I said.

The room went silent, Selena's eyes widened at my words. I don't know what got into me.

I've never spoken up for myself, wow. This felt..awesome.
