Lay in Bed
Go ahead.
Lay in your bed.
Grip those blankets
And bury your body in warmth.
Sink your head
Into your worn out pillow.
Stare at the ceiling
Pretending
You don't hear
The your door creak.
Pretending
You don't see
The door slowly open.
Pretending
You are safe
As our eyes meet.
