An Island In The Woods

chapter 3: when time comes

Warm raise of the sunlight touched my bare skin that makes me wake up. I decided to stand up and start my day.

"youre too early " jane approached me wearing her white robe and uniform.

"so are you" i replied. And roamed my eyes on the school. They're old but even thoigh they are old still they were beautiful.

"whats you're schedule this day?" jane asked. I heaved a sigh and smiled at her.

"same as yours" i said and takes the schedule out of my bag. Well i only got a three classes and a card training. Not too bad to have a fresh start. Every student has its schedule to follow. Jane told me something about shadows and took us one hour after we decided to get on our classes.

" in healing you need to concentrate,in order to let youre patient be healed" our professor said whe giving eachone of us a vase with a dead plant on it.

"what would be the reult if we failed?" gloy asked.  Well that seems interesting.

"it is simple mr. Ayn, you only need to heal the patient" mr. Leaf said that makes my forehead ceased.

"why?" i asked. That makes her turn on me.

"because the minute youre patient die,

...
..
.
You die" indistinct chattering filled the classroom.

"but, you don't need to be worried. You'll not die because of these, you'll only have some minor effects if you fail" she announced that makes us sigh in relief.

"so, just close youre eyes, touch the dead plant and chant evilno mycomma " she said. So we did what she told us to do. I closed me eyes and chant those words over and over again. A few minutes after i felt the plant movin,like it was healing itself.

"good job,ms ady, good job"ms leaf praise me. But something's wrong. I felt like it is not healed completely,because every time i peek at the flower i used to see how it died.

"are you ok?" jane asked as we reached the cafeteria. I just gave her a nod and a thumbs up symbolizing i am ok.

"whats next?" i asked to her didn't minding how i got that question.

"well, we are already finished in our classes. I think its our card practicing already" she answered and hide her schedule back in her bag.

"ok..." i replied shortly and decided not to talk again. I am really bothered about the plant
    

        The bell rings a few minute. Jane and i finished our meal quickly and proceed to the card practicing room. As we got there many students were already lining up. Jane and i decided to line at the two slots available and revealed our cards.

"woah... That's a rare card, where did you get that?" a new students said while looking at my card.some of my classmate even walk closer to look at my card while asking where i get it, how come i own it, and other questions that are really annoying to answer.

" i didn't know what you are talking about right there, but can you settle yourself and reveal youre cards to me" mr.lacroix coldly said that makes my classmates go back in their places earlier.

"what i want you to do is how to command youre cards, so just throw youre cards and say back" he said and show us how we do it.

" in the count of three, throw it alright..

One......,.....

Two..........

Three!" he counted, we immediately throw our cards and chanted back
