chapter 1: sending me away

"amathia!you've got mail!" alice shouted downstairs. I woke up lazily while trying to understand what she said. Letters?. I immediately run downstairs.

"letters?, why in the hell would i get letters?" i asked as i opened the letters alice gave to me.

      We are pleased to inform you that you have been chosen to be one of our students. We sincerely hope that you would accept our invitation.

As i read the letter outloud my forehead ceased to every word i said.

"school?, have you taken one without me?" alice pouted as she turned to me.school? Thats wierd .besides i dont usually go out this month.

"i didn't ,besides i can't without you, maybe they are just messing with us" i replied and put the letters down.

"okay, i'll just cook breakfast wait here" alice informed and walks through the kitchen. I decided to turn on the TV and entertain my self but a minute after i turned off the television. I can't stand the shows they are a talking about schools. Thats wierd.

"breakfast ready!" alice shouted. I was just to take one step when someone knocked at the door. I decided to open the door and see who it is.

"someone left this at you're doors. I decided to inform you because i think it might be stolen by someone, it looks expensive though" oliver said. Oliver laurence,one of our neighbor. They are rich and i'll admit that i like him.

"ohh.. Thank you" i replied as he handed the clothes to me.

"anytime" he said and smiled showing his complete and white teeth which adds charms to him. I nod and walks inside.

"whats that youre holding?" alice asked as she saw i was holding the clothes. I just shrugged my shoulders and seats in the chair. We were eating silently. Few minutes later i decided to wash the dishes and goes upstairs.
   

When i entered my room i found myself staring at the expensive clothes right at my desk. Seriously what is happening in here?,first they are sending me letters and now these clothes. I slowly walk towards the cloth, i decided to flip it and it is a..........
Uniform?.

"this is really wierd" i mumble as i was looking intensely at the cloth.

"well there is nothing wrong in wearing this isn't it?" i asked myself and wore the cloth. After that i decided to face the mirror and to my surprise it really fit me like it was made for me.

"its beautiful" i said and smiled. This cloth reveals my curve and my white skin. Too bad i can't even where this. I decided to take it off but a letter fall to the floor. Again?, i heaved a sigh and pick it up.

"now i am getting a letter again" i sarcastically said and flipped the paper but it shows me nothing, i flipped it again and again and again but there's nothing on it.

"bastards" i said and throws the paper onto the trash bin.

"how rude" i heared someone said, my eyebrows raised and decided to ignore it maybe i must visit my doctor tommorrow.i think i am hearing things

"youre such an ignorant girl" someone said it again.

"oh c'mmon alice stop foolin------AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" i shouted and run at the edge of my bed holding a piece of pillow to defend my self.

"w-what.....a-re you?" i asked while stuttering... Did the paper just talk? Or i am just imagining things?.

"me?, a talking paper obviously" it answered that answer all of my questions.

"w-what are you doing here?, i mean h-how did you get in here?"i asked, she raised her eyebrows in me. Yes she had an eyebrow,what i mean is that it had the complete feature of a human face which is absolutely ridiculous.

"with magic, everything is possible duh" she replied and rolled her eyes on me. Did he.... Did he just roll her eyes on me?. What an insulent punk!.

"why did you came here?,what do you need?"i asked and walks towards her.

"may i introduce myself first?" she asked. I just gave her a nod still holding the pillow i grabbed earlier.

"i am ashia a messenger sent by the mullen academy especially for you, so i am here to--- will you please drop that thing youre holding?, its not like i can hurt you or something, dont be paranoid i am just a paper okay? A PAPER" she exclaimed while emphasizing the word paper. I cleared my throat and drop the pillow i am holding.

"continue" i said and sits at my bed. She rolled her eyes on me. What the! Stop me or else ill tear these ugly paper apart.

"so as i said earlier i came here to send you a message, at any rate youre bus leaves in 4:00pm at the morning tommorrow,you must pack up youre things and dont leave important behind. And most importantly you must not be late" she announced. Thats amusing they even told me the time, is it that far?.

"and?" i asked.

"and good luck and byebye" she said and with a blink of an eye the talking paper is gone. Wow that was magic.
          

         I just stared blankly at the uniform when i heard the door open revealing alice with her stuff. I quickly hide the paper and decided to help her to divert my attention and forget about the clothes and the school.

"why did you buy so many stuff when we are the one using it." i said while helping her. But she didn't replied instead she gave me a half smile which is very wierd.

"you know i am thinking about taking entrance examination at siren university tommorrow why don't you come with me" i said to divert her attention but it didnt work either.

"you must not try hard to cheer me up, also you dont need to take examination. You already got one that is good enough" she answered that makes me stop. I laugh awkwardly while staring at her.

"ahh... Are you talking about the letter and the uniform? Its nothing someone is just messing with us, besides i am not really interested in those" i answered while laughing but she turned to me with her serious face.

"messing around?, why would they give you a  1,500 worth of uniform, thats a big money they can't afford to spend it with just a uniform" she answered while shaking her head and continued to arrange the stuffs.

"i dont know, besides i'll throw it away if that will make you feel better, or i might give it to you" i replied but she laughed and gave me "are you crazy look"

"you should go ady, besides you might like it there" she said that makes me confused.

"but we promised, we took an oath alice, you cannot bend that besides my life is here,with you" i answered,but she turned to me and held my hand.

"i am tired ady, i cannot be by youre side anymore, please just go" she begged me. I look onto her eyes and there is no hint of hesitation nor regret. I shook my head twice and get my hand back.

"a-are you... Are you sending me away?" i asked while biting my lips to restrain myself from crying. But she avoided my gaze.

"you're true life awaits you out there, dont miss that chance and grab it"she replied. True life? Is this some game to her?

"but alice ----- " i didnt finish my word when he said something that broke my heart.

"we are not sisters ady, you're just an orphan when my mom saw you." she said and looked at me straight to my eyes.

"y-youre just joking right?" i manage to laugh but in the end i found myself crying.

"we are not sisters by blood, you must accept that" she answered and left me crying.
          

       After a few minutes of crying i have made my decision. I wiped my tears and go to my room to pack my things for tommorrow. If finding my true self will be out there then i am going.

"be happy with youre decision because i'll be happy with mine" i murmured and decided to go sleep early besides i will be waking up early tommorrow.
